We start our tour with your pick-up from your Hotel in the Albufeira area and depart for a safari adventure through the natural wonders of the Algarve and its mountains. Enjoy a real adventure in a convertible jeep (with a roof in case of rain). This tour has off-road trails, beautiful landscapes, regional architecture, medieval monuments, traditional villages and natural water sources where you can dive into the waters of the stream. The excursion also includes the traditional trade where we can see regional products such as liqueurs, honey and jams. On the offroad paths we will see large fruit plantations with small streams and water irrigation systems left by the Romans. Guides will provide you with information about our culture and region, at the end of the tour, relax back at your hotel. About 4 hours and 30 minutes, starting at Paúl da Serra, going down to the Rabaçal valley for the first levada, which takes us to the first waterfall, the Risco waterfall. We descend to find the second levada of the 25 fountains thus providing wonderful and unique views of the Rabaçal valley, finding endemic species of fauna and flora along the way to reach the 25 fountains lagoon. On the way back we passed a tunnel of about 800 meters

The Rabaçal 25 Fontes walk is very beautiful for its diversity of plants and green vegetation that we can see, also the famous Levadas of the Madeira Island. Levadas are water channels, and this is one of the most famous of the whole island, because the landscapes and unforgettable sensations will stay in the thoughts of those who do this levada. Starting from Rabaçal, you will find an immense variety of species of flora and fauna madeirenses. The walk through the middle of the Laurissilva forest, through the irrigation canals that reach the lagoon from the 25 Fontes, it is the most beautiful point of the whole walk, with a large waterfall falling into a small lagoon. It is one of the most emblematic and most visited pedestrian walks on the island of Madeira. An authentic gift for our senses. Along the trail enjoy centurial laurel and heather beyond its unforgettable waterfalls and fountains, 25 in all respects living up to its name. The use of a walking stick, proper footwear and water is recommended.

We started from Rabaçal towards the 25 sources. Along the way you can appreciate a wide variety of endemic species of flora and fauna of the Region. If you like, you can soak in the icy waters of the lagoon. Then we continue towards the Risco, where you can admire a splendid waterfall. We finished the trip with a visit to the Rabaçal house.

Rabaçal is an unique and magical place full of waterfalls and fountains. This levada walk is the most famous and beautiful in Madeira. This experience will start with about 3 hours walk including 800 mts through a volcanic rock tunnel leading us to an evergreen forest providing beautiful landscapes. On this hike, we will have the opportunity to admire beautiful waterfalls, natural spring water and its endemic species of fauna and flora. After this great walk, we will have a lunch break (not included) in a Madeiran restaurant at Paúl da Serra, the biggest plateau of the island about 1400 mts high with stunning views. Later, we go downhill through a fantastic off-road expedition, where you will enjoy the fragrance of the exotic eucalyptus forest. Continuing, we go to Cabo Girão with the highest sea cliff of Europe at 580 mts, known by its suspended glass floor viewpoint which offers a spectacular panoramic view over the Atlantic Ocean and Câmara de Lobos Bay. Lisbon affords white sand beaches and several surf spots for beginners or advanced surfers at about 10-30 minutes’ drive from the city center. Get to know and surf some of the coolest and hidden spots around Lisbon with a local surfer. Surf in one spot, based on sea conditions and surfer´s level. The Levada Rabaçal begins in Paul da Serra, more precisely in Rabaçal. From this point we can observe one of the most beautiful valleys of Madeira, the Rabaçal Valley and down to the Forest House of Rabaçal. We operate in full Laurissilva Forest, a World Heritage site. After a few meters of pure beauty we make our first visit to the stunning waterfall of Risco. After a break in the Risco balcony we follow our path. All around you can be dazzled by the green beauty of the forest and the sound of nature, the natural heart of Madeira Island. We can enjoy a variety of plant species, to highlight the Tree Heather, Besom Heath and Madeira Bilberry. Among many species of birds, hopefully we can find the Trocaz Pigeon a unique species of Madeira. In the end we find the 25 Fontes and its beautiful green and fresh lagoon, surrounded by vines and giant ferns.

The Valley of Rabaçal is one mother nature's greatest masterpieces. Descending from the plateau of Paul da Serra, we arrive at the Rabaçal guesthouse and from there we walk to the Risco waterfall. We then continue downwards towards the levada das 25 Fontes until reaching a small lake. This lake is located at the bottom of a cliff from where 25 natural springs cascade into the small lake. We shall return through a different path passing through a tunnel that carries water to the south side of the island.

The levada walk will allow hikers to enjoy the evergreen and luxuriant Rabacal valley situated within the natural park of Madeira, in the North West of the island and discover the concealed treasures of the indigenous Laurisilva forest with its abundance of mosses, lichens and ferns.
