On first day, we will visit the world largest religious monument, Angkor Wat temple. After that, we will visit Ta Prohm or Tomb Raider temple. We'll continue to Bayon, a 216-smilling face temple that is in the center of Angkor Thom. We will visit some other famous temples in Angkor Thom. We'll stop by to see Baphuon, the Terrace of Elephants and the Leper King. Finally, we will go to Phnom Bakhen mountain and climb up to the top to see a gorgeous sunset. On the second day, we will watch a beautiful sunrise at Angkor Wat temple and visit the Big Circuit such as Preah Khan – Sword temple, Neak Pean, Ta Som, East Mebon, and Pre Rup temple. In the afternoon, we will visit Banteay Srei or called Ladies Temple, built of a rare pink sandstone. It is known as the jewelry of Angkor.

The best route that covers all the major temples of Angkor, with the least fuss, is what’s known as the Small Circuit and the Grand Circuit. To get to the top of Kbal Spean and appreciate the intricately carved stone river bed you have to conquer a fairly steep incline, but fear not – the path is well worn and the biggest obstacles and boulders are overcome by series of well maintained wooden staircases, yet at least medium level of fitness is required for this 3km jungle walk. On your way back you will visit a small temple of Banteay Srei well known for its beautiful delicate carvings in warm pink sandstone. This late 10th century structure is fairly compact and very different from other Angkorian temples. To round off your day you may also visit Banteay Samre – a larger temple which is often overlooked by tourists and looks gorgeous in late afternoon light.

After lunch, we continue the tour to Neak Pean temple, a fountain built in the middle of a pool. Next, we will visit Preah Khan or the Holy Sword Temple, and explore the intricacy complex. Then, we will explore Ta Som, a small Buddhist temple. Finally, we come to East Mebon where use to be an artificial island of the now dry East Baray.

Kbal Spean or the River of 1000 Lingams has an intricately carved riverbed deep in the foothills of the Cambodian jungle.
