We will take you in a 40-minute drive to the starting point at Aqbat Al Biyut. This unique hike leads along an 8.6 km long donkey trail with a breathtaking view of the valley landscape. We descend to one of the most beautiful villages in Oman. Masirat Al Jawamid is at the bottom of the valley. Immediately below are beautifully cultivated gardens. Our excursion ends at the upper part of the waterfall, where, in addition to the impressively terraced gardens, you can admire the 650 m higher hotel complex Alila Jabal Akhdar. Nizwa Souq is among the largest of its kind in Oman. A wide variety of vendors offer their goods from 5:00am to about 10:00am each day. Here you can find fish, meat, vegetables, pottery, jewellery, handicrafts and souvenirs which are sold in authentic old market halls that few places can boast. Especially interesting is the Friday cattle market when the locals from the nearby villages come to sell their donkeys, goats, cattle, sheep and chickens in a circus style open marketplace. Next is Nizwa Fort which offers splendid views of this ancient town.The fort is an architectural testimony to the economic and military achievements of the early Yaruba dynasty from the mid-17th century. Then we will bring you to Birkat Al Mauz, at the foot of Jebel Akhdar, with its old Village ruins and Banana and Date plantations. From there we drive up to Jebel Akhdar which literally means "Green Mountain" because of its many fruit plantations and the rose gardens (rose blooming season is May-Sep).

Enjoy an unforgettable 2-day, 1-night adventure! Day 1: Your journey begins with pick-up from any location in Muscat, followed by a scenic drive to Nizwa. Explore the vibrant Nizwa Souq and the historic Nizwa Fort, then continue to the charming old village of Birkat Al Mouz. Discover the traditional falaj irrigation system of Al Kattmyn and take in beautiful panoramic views of Birkat. Afterwards, ascend to the breathtaking Jebel Akhdar mountain, where you’ll spend the night surrounded by stunning landscapes. Day 2: Begin your morning with a visit to Diana’s Viewpoint, then head to the impressive Bahla Fort (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), followed by a walk through the beautifully preserved Al Hamra Old Village. Continue to the picturesque mountain village of Misfat Al Abriyeen before making your way to the majestic Jebel Shams — Oman’s Grand Canyon. After taking in the views, relax on the drive back to Muscat.
