Bonaire Landsailing Adventures

Never been landsailing? That's okay. No experience necessary. Bonaire has the perfect conditions and we have the ideal location. Sailing a blokart is super easy to learn. We'll give you a 10 minute lesson to ensure you have the most fun during your time on the track. This activity is for everyone because you control the speed. Those wishing to take it easy and enjoy a leisurely, wind-powered sail can do so, and those wanting a full dose of adrenaline will also enjoy themselves. We have two shadow (double) blokarts available so small children (ages 3-8) or elderly parents can ride in the "side car". No excuses for not participating as we recently had a 91 year old lady experience landsailing at our track. Children, age 8 and older, can sail solo (depending on wind conditions). As you head north, enjoy the scenic drive along Queen’s Highway with stops at 1000 Steps, Gotomeer, and the Cadushy Distillery. The highlight of this tour is an exhilarating 45-Minute landsailing experience, where you'll race across the smooth, open terrain in your own wind-powered kart. After this adrenaline-pumping activity, refuel with a local snack before continuing to the Seru Largo lookout for breathtaking views of the island.

Rincon Village is the oldest village in Bonaire and rich in history. It is also the most senior community within the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba. Initially settled by the Spanish in the early 1500s, Rincon was strategically nestled within a valley to ward off impending danger from pirates and other threats.   In the 17th century, enslaved people were brought to Bonaire and worked tending crops and the salt pans until 1863. Living in Rincon, the slave men would walk a 7-hour journey south for work and then return on weekends to gather supplies at Mangazina di Rei (King’s storehouse) and visit their families.  We will stop at the Cadushi distillery, where you can taste the local cactus liquor made on Bonaire for free. After visiting Cadushi, we will stop at our last stop – a local restaurant called Posada. Here you can try native island food and taste the local flavour.
