Paella Cooking Class Las Ramblas & Boqueria Market in Barcelona


This cooking class and market tour are our most popular offering. Together, the tour and the class take approximately four hours. The tour starts with accompanying our chefs to the world famous La Boqueria market, located nearby. During this 'behind the scenes' guided tour, you will meet many vendors, some of whom have been there for generations. You will learn about locally grown products and participate in the selection of ingredients that will be used later in the cooking class. Upon returning to our kitchen, you will begin preparing the four course menu. All our classes are designed for every skill level and are taught by professionally trained bilingual chefs. The classes provide a fun, social, hands-on experience, where you will be participating in the preparation of the various dishes under the thoughtful guidance of our chef instructors. Unlimited wines are included. All our menus can be adapted to accommodate any food restriction you may have, vegan included.

The experience begins with a tour of the nearby La Boquería market. With a rainbow of top-quality produce and diverse blend of aromas, it’s hardly surprising that it is saturated by tourists, making it all the more useful to have a local guide you through the hustle and bustle. The guide will explain to you about traditional foods and the most popular Catalans products as well. After that we come back to our gastronomic space in order to go ahead to make the cooking workshop. All carefully prepared to perfection, the sampling menu consists of a spectacular array of ten “Tapas”, originating from various cities within Spain. The chef will explain the history of Spanish cuisine through these “Tapas”. After that we will be ready to start the cooking class. As a menu we will cook Seafood Paella, Spanish Omelet and Crema Catalana for dessert. Enjoy excellent regional wines.
