Bribri Indigenous

We will leave Puerto Viejo at 7:45 am, then drive for like 30 minutes, arrive at the Bribri Indigenous reserve, where we’ll join an Indigenous family, learn about their culture and a variety of medicinal plants. Participants will then have the opportunity to learn about the history of the cacao tree, taste the fruit, make puréed chocolate. Once we finished with the chocolate we are going to have a typical lunch with a natural juice with the family. Also, we will visit a refreshing waterfall in the mountains of Talamanca. Participants will have the opportunity to swim in the large pool under the falls. After that, we will return to Puerto Viejo. A fruit will be included in this tour. For the pick up, if you are staying in or around Puerto Viejo, Cocles or Punta Uva, just send a message with the name of your hotel, and we will pick you up there. Many thanks.

We will take you to a village where most of the tourist don't go. Far away from the noise, where you will interact with the local people. You have the opportunity to learn about the traditional way of making chocolate, the use of some medicinal plants and a learn a little bit about the local language. We visited a waterfall in the area where you can swim and enjoy nature.
