In Eden Chocolate Tour you'll experience an hour and 45 minutes tour. A first part is held in our cocoa organic plantation where the visitor can see the cocoa flower, the cocoa trees, the fermentation and sun-dried process of the cocoa beans. A second part is inside the Ranch where the visitor can roast and grind the cocoa beans; also the conching and refining process of the chocolate. At the end, the visitor can make his own chocolate bonbons.

At nightfall, join us to discover the delicious world of chocolate where we will learn the whole process from the seed to the delicious Chocolate bar, once the explanation is finished we will select some members of the group to grind the Cocoa to make your own chocolate bar. Once finished you will have the opportunity to taste several types of chocolate such as Dark Chocolate, Milk Chocolate and White Chocolate. Once this sweet adventure is over, we will tour our farm to enter the extraordinary nightlife where we can see some species of frogs and toads such as the Giant Toad, the big chicken eater frog, the small “Jewels of the Forest” like the Hourglass Frog and the most emblematic of Costa Rica, the Red-Eyed Frog. With luck during the tour, we can see some species of insects, mammals such as the sloth, raccoons and sometimes nocturnal birds.

Mindo Chocolate Tour


El Quetzal de Mindo is the beginning of the Ruta de Cacao (Chocolate Route) in Ecuador. See the entire process of making chocolate at an artisan small batch scale. We begin at the cocoa tree, taste fresh fruit and see the entire process to the finished chocolate. We will end with a tasting of a variety of chocolate, our chocolate barbecue sauce and chocolate tea and of course our world famous brownie.  Tours operates seven days per week from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. Every hour on the hour we will begin a new tour.
