Sillustani is one of the most important necropolis in the Andean world known for its gigantic funerary towers "CHULLPAS". The famous Chullpas are towers constructed in stone that were used by diverse cultures, among them the collas and later by the Incas. The chullpa of the Lizard stands out for being the highest of site, reaching more than 12 meters of height. In the vicinity you can see some waru waru, which are artificial earth mounds designed to protect crops against frosts and floods.
