In this tour you will be able to experience it firsthand at a traditional fado restaurant. We will start our Fado tour by wandering through the alleys and windy streets on a walking tour through Mouraria and Alfama (1h approx), where you can get to know the working class neighborhoods and streets where Fado was born. Our guide will explain to you the history and the cultural importance of Fado, and how it shaped mentalities in Portugal and the portuguese own sense of identity. We'll end the tour at a traditional Fado house where we'll listen to the heartfelt melodies of Fado. Lose yourself in the atmosphere and mood of this typical Portuguese music genre played by the Portuguese guitar and characterized by mournful, heartbreaking lyrics. While you enjoy the music, we will also provide you with a typical Portuguese dinner. Homemade food, portuguese wine, and an amazing environment are the keys to any good Portuguese evening. Your cooking class will take place in a local home kitchen where Paula will teach you 2-3 traditional Portuguese-influenced Goan dishes from her family recipes. Experience the Cape Cod National Seashore and all its charm & beauty! Our first stop will be at Pilgrim Landing for stunning views of the farthest point of Cape Cod. As we travel into the National Seashore we'll have views of 2 of Provincetown's lighthouses, Wood's End and The Race Point Light House. Stopping at the Province lands Visitor’s Center you can explore the museum and amazing viewing deck of the dunes and Atlantic Ocean! From this vantage point there is a strong chance of seeing a variety of whales feeding just off the shores! We'll then make our way to the Beech Forest trail where you'll enjoy a guided mile loop hike around one of Cape Cod's famous ponds. Learn about the geology of the Cape as we travel through this unique forest. This is also a very popular birding spot and a local hiking favorite!

Escape the big city for a day on Cape Cod, a top yet unassuming summer retreat in New England. Pristine beaches and excellent whale watching opportunities await those looking to stay close to the ocean. Quaint bed and breakfasts and picturesque seaside cottages welcome visitors escaping bustling cities, looking to recharge away from it all. A paradise for seafood lovers, the Cape serves everything from oysters to clam chowder and lobster rolls.  This experience begins with a private helicopter charter from Manhattan directly to Cape Cod with 4-5 hours to spend on the ground while your helicopter waits. After 4-5 hours you will return to the airport and will fly back to Manhattan, concluding the day with a quick skyline tour of New York City before landing. Choose one of the following airports for your day trip: Chatham, Hyannis or Provincetown. Meals, activity costs and ground transportation costs on Cape Cod are not included in the price of this experience.

We pick you up at your hotel in Albufeira and will take you to eat like a local. Enjoy a big variety of Portuguese tapas including octopus, squid, cod, oysters, beef, Parma ham, cheeses, etc. (this can vary according to season and availability*). Of course let’s not forget the wine to pair with. To finish, try the traditional firewater and a Nata to sweeten your taste buds.
