This tour takes you to Aveiro considered by many as the "Venice of Portugal" which is famous for its large network of canals running through the city. In this Tour you will also take a cruise on a "moliceiro" boat (a traditional boat from this city) which will take you along the channels as you admire the city’s unique tile facades. You will also have the opportunity to see the colorful houses in Costa Nova. Aveiro has a rich and varied gastronomy, and the “soft eggs” – a very sweet desert are also one the main representations of Aveiro.

From Porto, we offer you the opportunity to discover two cities in the north of Portugal adored by many: • We leave Porto and after 1 hour drive, you will get to know Aveiro the "little Venice" with its canals that divides the city into two parts. We will take a guided tour admiring its architecture, discovering the old fishermen's houses and the historical buildings of the city. • Afterwards, we will take a 45-minute ride aboard one of the traditional “Moliceiros” boats, similar in design to the Venetian gondolas. After this ride, we will have free time to visit the city. • Then, we will leave Aveiro and head towards Costa Nova, one of the most spectacular ️️beaches in Portugal, known for the emblematic stripped houses that line the bay. • Afterwards, we will visit the ⛪ capelha do senhor da Pedra, photo moment! this seaside chapel will amaze you. • Finally, we will head back to Porto with unforgettable memories, book now!

Walk in the morning! Difficulty level is easy/medium – a 5km downstream walk! Short description: Go across one of the longest suspension bridges of the world and walk the Paiva Walkways trail! Visit one of the highlights of Portugal: Costa Nova, and Aveiro, the Portuguese Venice! We leave from Porto towards Arouca town where we'll stop shortly for toilets. There are several cities which benefit from the privilege of being near watercourses. Aveiro is no exception, as its stands out thanks to its famous Ria, abundant in fish and waterbirds. The "moliceiros", unique boats with simple decoration reminding the naif painting, are also connected to the ria, still collecting the seaweed- a great fertilizer for arid lands.

Located at the center of Portugal, just 40 minutes away from Coimbra, is the city of Aveiro. This place contains an unique atmosphere given by its typical boats (Moliceiros), which are often compared to the Venetian Gondolas, as well as its 20th Century architecture, in the style of Art Noveau, connected by cobbled passages that extend along the water channel coming from the Lagoon. This is the place where you will be given free time for lunch (I have some good suggestions for you even if you are vegan!) and shopping (consciously!). After lunch we'll depart to visit the Lagoon of Aveiro with it's Salt Ponds… and we'll also visit the famous places of Barra and Costa Nova!

It is a peninsula with eight kilometers of extension and 23 beaches, receiving on one side maritime currents of the Equator and the other maritime currents of the south pole, which causes beaches to have both warm waters and cold waters. Among the main beaches are Geribá, Tucuns, João Fernandes, Ferradura, Ferradurinha, Marina, Armação, Manguinhos, Turtle, Bones, Brava and Olho-de-Boi, the latter reserved for the practice of naturism.

This rumble starts in Tabua place and is a Levada Walk with the goal of watching the many tilth and traditions. Is also possible, to watch agricultural land, carefully cultivated by their owners. The villages, compose an exceptional landscape and, over this accessible watercourse we can have a perception about Ribeira Brava County. This section is, without a doubt, the best place to admire the Sugar Cane plantations (Saccharum).

We start our tour in Coimbra. The first capital of the kingdom of Portugal still keeps its historic neighbourhoods as well as one of the oldest universities in the country. Considered a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, this thriving academic centre, allows you to stroll through narrow streets and ancient stone walls. Then, we head to the Portuguese Venice. As the nickname indicates, Aveiro has an estuary that allows you to take lovely trips on a moliceiro boat. An obligatory stop in the city, is also to do a tasting of the famous Ovos moles. On this tour you can also visit Costa Nova, an area known not only for its privileged location between the sea and the estuary, but especially famous for its colourful striped houses.
