Dog Sledding and Mushing Experience in North Pole


Enjoy a truly Alaskan experience in the famous North Pole Alaska on a 30 minute dog sledding adventure. This ride includes informative commentary from your local guide as you glide through the snow covered forest.  You will be seated in the dog sled as the team of Alaskan Huskies whisk you down the trails. Your guide will be standing on the back of the sled driving the team by voice commands. You will have a short stop during your adventure to meet your team of Alaskan Huskies and take pictures. All outer layers of winter clothing are included.


Alaska Helicopter and Glacier Dogsled Tour – ANCHORAGE AREA


The most popular tour! Drive your own sled-dog team with 6 time Iditarod winner Dallas Seavey's team of mushers, handlers and champion dogs on real snow in the middle of summer surrounded by amazing scenery. Start this adventure with a helicopter ride over glaciers. We often see moose, black bears, Dall sheep and goats. Land on a glacier and enjoy a whole hour with champion sled dogs and their mushers that live here all summer. Take the dog team for a ride through real snow. You can stand on the runners and mush a dog team or just sit on the sled and let the mushers run the team. After your dogsled tour meet the canine athletes that pulled your sled, and of course take pictures with your favorite dogs. After the tour the helicopter takes you back to the lodge and you’ll fly over the lower glaciers where you can see the blue melt pools and the crevasses. Total Tour Time: 1.5 hours – includes 1 hour with the dogsled team (aprox 30 min sled ride) and approx 30 min round trip flightseeing


Mush Your Own Sled Dog Team (Summer/Fall Tour)


This is the only place in Alaska where you can mush your own team of dogs in the summer! This is not a just a tour kennel; it is the training grounds and homestead of 4-time Iditarod champion, Dallas Seavey. All the dogs are either retired racing dogs (many have won the Iditarod), are currently on the race team, or are the next generation in training to become the next great champions! Our dogs are active and training year-round. As a guest musher here, you become part of Dallas Seavey Racing's year-round training program. The group size for this experience is usually 6 or less people, with a guide assigned to each group, creating a very personal experience. All of our dogs are extremely friendly, and love attention. Cuddle puppies, romp with young dogs, or walk with champions.


Husky Sledding Self-Drive Adventure in Tromso


You will be driving your own sled and team of dogs in pairs, an experienced guide will lead your tour on the trail (group size is 20 guests maximum) – Drive your own team of huskies, in pairs you will share control of a dog sled and team of 5-6 Alaskan Huskies – Training is provided on how to control your sled and an experienced guide will lead your tour on the trail – 70-80 minutes of dog sledding in the Arctic wilderness – Afterwards, enjoy cake and a warm drink in the Lavvu – All necessary equipment to keep you safe and warm is provided. Minimum age 7 years Join us for the experience of a lifetime, mushing your own team of dogs across the Arctic wilderness. Meet our kennel of 130 beautiful Alaskan Huskies. These are the running dogs of the Arctic, born and bred with a passion to pull. The most intimate summer dog sledding experience in Alaska! Our carts are specifically for dog mushing and seat just two people each for an authentic adventure. Your ride takes place on our own secluded, private training trails, surrounded by Alaska spruce and birch trees. These are the same trails we use to train for Iditarod in the winter! Our carts are 100% dog-powered, just like a sled, so you can take in the natural sounds around you, without any noisy motors or nearby traffic! After every run, we turn all the dogs loose to run around freely and interact with guests. Be part of an authentic Arctic adventure the when driving your team of dogs. Dog sled has been used for travel and hunting for centuries throughout the Arctic region. Dog sledding consist of a musher, a sled and one or more dogs. It's an adventurous activity for your holiday in northern Norway. Be part of an authentic Arctic adventure when driving your own team of dogs on the outskirt of Tromsø. You will get some great advice from our guide to help you have a wonderful experience as a musher (driver) and become one with nature. All our 84 friendly Alaskan huskies have names and different personalities. They love to run and receive cuddles. We travel over tundra and through forests and you will get in close contact with both nature and dogs. During daytime, you will get a beautiful view towards the Lyngen Alps, and during dark season you can experience the northern light dancing above us. Two people share each sled and we will stop along the way to change mushers and to take photos.

If you love dogs of all shapes and sizes, this Experience is for you. Visit the Happy Tails Sanctuary, in the south of the island, home to 130 rescue dogs! Most of these lovable furry friends have come from the streets & some previously had an "owner." Unwanted, unloved or abused, they all have a sad story to tell about their past All the dogs at the sanctuary are up for adoption and sponsorship and the animal loving team works 24/7 on making sure their suffering days are over. They have a big dog park to play in and also a lovely house to rest in with their favourite canine friends. You can play, walk and run with the dogs and get smothered in kisses! Your visit contributes towards the wellbeing of the sanctuary dogs and also towards hosting sterilisation campaigns locally in order to reduce the overpopulation of straying dogs on the island.
