We will teach you about the variety of medicinal plants we have growing here and how to use them. This is a great experience for anyone with an interest in gardening, plant medicine, keeping chickens, growing your own food, homesteading, and becoming more self-sufficient. Edible Hibiscus Guided Farm Tour (Big Island)

Everyone is familiar with the showy hibiscus flower, but we mainly grow the edible kind called Hibiscus Roselle. Roselle is a tropical plant historically used for medicinal purposes and still has many health benefits today. Actively enjoy both our indoor hydroponic farm and outdoor garden we use for multiple edible varieties. Savor the taste of each of our specialty products grown, harvested and produced right here on the farm. Immerse yourself in a behind the scenes tour of our farm with a 45-minute light walking tour with firsthand explanations from the owner, followed by hibiscus tea and other unique snacks. Big Island Farms Tour in Hawaii


Big Island Farms is spread across 64 acres along the breathtaking Hamakua Coast overlooking the Pacific Ocean with panoramic views from Waipio to Hilo. The farm is carved into two large sections by the historic Hamakua canal which brings water from the pristine Kohala forest preserve and provides irrigation to the lower (makai) section of the property. The upper (Mauka) portion, which is above the canal, of the farm is planted in organically grown Macadamia nuts and Kukui nuts (candle nut). The lower portion below the canal is a diverse collection of permaculture food forests, a variety of themed gardens, coconut orchards and living spaces for our Big Island educational programs. The gardens contain over 200 unique species of edible and medicinal plants including: Coffee, Banana, Papaya, Cassava, Taro, Ginger, Turmeric, Cacao, Avocado, Breadfruit, Coconut, Sugar Can, Sweet Potatoes, Kukui, Ti (KI) and a wide variety of Bamboos just to name a few.

Bangalow Native Bush Food Tour


Once an old grazing land, thankfully the Anglican church in partnership with Bangalow Land and Rivercare Group have regenerated this area with hundreds of native plant species that are really important to Bundjalung people. During the tour, Delta points out a variety of these edible bush tucker plants, as well as plants used for natural medicine, jewellery, fibre, tools and weapons. She speaks about local indigenous history and shares traditional stories that have been passed down to her from her ancestors. There are opportunities to learn some Bundjalung language and we are sometimes lucky to see Binging the river turtle or Junbung the platypus.

1-Day Trip To The Berber High Atlas Mountainous Ourika Valley From Marrakech


One of the most beautiful places you can visit in Morocco, and unlike the usual, the Ourika region is generally beautiful in its simplicity and not in its luxury. The welcome from its residents makes Ourika warm despite the relatively cold weather due to its height among the high Atlas Mountains. Berber villages are preserving their Amazigh traditions and heritage which date back to before the sixteenth century and even before the Islamic conquest of Morocco, where the ancient inhabitants of the region lived with the first Jewish heritage during the first centuries AD. Discover Aurora Illinois Hiking Getaway


Expand your appreciation for nature. Enjoy a leisurely hike while learning how to identify at least 20 edible and medicinal native plants. Each hike is unique as new plants emerge from week to week and season to season. All participants will receive a digital copy of a recipe featuring a wild plant identified on the hike. All hikes take place at local parks or forests. Hikes will be 5k (3.1 miles) in length. Participants are encouraged to bring comfortable walking shoes, insect repellent, sun block, sunglasses, and water to ensure their experience is as enjoyable as possible


Cocoa Workshop and Permaculture Tour in Essence Arenal


You will have the opportunity to learn a lot about permaculture practices and how to live more sustainably. Our tour starts with a tour of the property where we will be able to get to know and see everything from animals to plants as we head to reach our Organic Estate. It is a guided tour where we will know about medicinal plants, edibles, fruit trees, in addition; we will also go into the cultivation of cocoa, pollination, production and harvest until we start with the workshop of Cocoa where we will see the artisan processes for the elaboration and get to taste the incredible taste of Chocolate. If you love the outdoors & nature this is for you. Nicole will teach you about the unique wildlife and important pollinators that Howth's ecosystem homes. You will come away with top tips, fabulous recipe ideas and recommendations on how to use wild plants in the future. Howth is a stunningly beautiful place with amazing views and scenery. Yoga & Forest Bathing Day Retreat


Lose yourself in fields full of wildflowers, ancient woodlands and meadows and enjoy a day of yoga, forest bathing and foraging on over 100 acres of private land.
