Embark on a small-group, 3-hour whale watching and wildlife sightseeing tour from Hoonah, Alaska in our custom built vessels with heated cabins and restroom. Every season humpback whales come in large numbers to Hoonah to feed on the nutrient-rich waters of Glacier Bay and Icy Strait before migrating south again for the winter. The whale population begins to arrive in Hoonah in May, and stays through September.

As the glacier draws near, keep your eyes peeled for freshly calved icebergs. Exit the canoes and hike the rocky terrain, gaining intimate views of the glacier and learn about its rapid recession. New in 2023! This full-day tour transverses a glacier feed river as it meanders through a glacier-carved valley. It is not uncommon to see a whole host of wildlife that frequents the river system as we paddle our way through the rivers meandering course. You will find salmon swimming under your paddle craft as they migrate to their spawning grounds. Also, expect to see ducks and eagles fly overhead and maybe even find a moose standing in the water eating a meal. This tour starts by paddling across Jim Lake and then a short overland portage into Jim Creek. Finally, exit on the beach of the Knik River that flows from the Knik Glacier, and while there get some pictures with the glacier in the background. The Knik Glacier is the headwaters of the Knik River and is the largest glacier in Southcentral Alaska. From there we will continue downriver to the mouth of the Knik arm of the Cook Inlet.

Half-day morning tour on lake Zurich! We’ll tour the northern part of the lake, close to Zurich: we’ll start off in Wollishofen and head towards Enge and the Old Town. First, we’ll pass the Lion statue by Enge harbor, then we’ll stop by the famous Aquaretum fountain to take some photos. 10 minutes later we’ll enter the Limmat river by going under the Quaibrücke before reaching the Grossmünster on the right and the Fraumünster on the left, our half-way mark. On the way back to Wollishofen we’ll enjoy the astounding views of the Alps in the south and go ashore for a coffee-break in Kilchbergs Mönchhof. Other stops are possible anywhere so you can jump-off the boat, swim or tan or just relax. If you are interested, you can experiment steering the boat, both at low and high speeds and learn about boatmanship.
