The e-bike food and wine tour departing from Sorrento will take us towards Massa Lubrense through panoramic roads surrounded by greenery. Inside we will make a fantastic stop in a small hamlet of Massa Lubrense, Schiazzano. Here between one ride and another we will stop at a farm where our tour will come to life. Thanks to the hospitality of the Agritourism Company we will be able to closely witness the making of mozzarella and caciottine and taste them together with other products of "Il Turuziello" such as the renowned Provolone del Monaco D.O.P., nine types of flavored oils, fragrant bread and cheesecake. All accompanied by a good glass of wine and homemade limoncello! The tour we propose will allow you to discover unknown and uncontaminated corners of our land, far from mass tourism. While visiting this farm, we will be walking throughout the larger parts of the farm to learn about farming practices, from the seed to the final product, as well as reusing and recycling natural waste. I can remember growing up in Puerto Rico and going to my grandmother’s home/farm and seeing all of those things that she did to eat, clean, and take care of her home and farm and supply her family. I will walk with you through the maze of trails on the farm showing you everything there is so you will come out knowing how it was growing up in Puerto Rico. My childhood will be brought to you in living color. When we are done at the farm I will then take you all to a special spot to take a dip in a wonderful natural pool to cool down before taking you a restaurant, located in the mountains to eat and enjoy some of the things that we saw at the farm but also to teach you about the food we have been eating here for over a century. Taste and learn how to recognize high-quality oils, by comparing them. We will show you the tasting tools and the official procedure and you will be an oil sommelier for a day! You will also acquire the skills to distinguish a good oil from a less good one and learn to read labels, especially the misleading ones! Enjoy a delicious meal in the company of both locals and fellow travellers. We prepare the meal with fresh local ingredients, including those produced on our farm: oil, vegetables, fruit, jams, chestnuts, eggs. We grow our produce in a sustainable way, without the use of pesticides and chemicals. For us, farming is synonymous with respect for the environment and protection of the land.

Cavite, just an hour or two away from the city, has a budding local agritourism scene that boasts a number of popular must-visit farm resorts.
