Even though there is Fushi-inari station, we start the tour from Tofukuji station because we enter Fushi-inari shrine from back side of main entrance. -Journey into a secret bamboo forest We will discover a natural bamboo forest, and a small Inari shrine hidden from tourists. Fushimi Inari's main entrance is hard to navigate due to a lot of people, but by walking through the mountains, we will see Fushimi Inari from a new perspective, away from the crowd. -Return to civilization after a breathtaking view atop the mountains of Fushimi Inari From here on, we will explore tourist areas on the way to the top of the mountain. Tour routes may vary, but it will end somewhere around the main shrine. This is the original Fushimi hidden route tour. This is a 3-hour 30-minute hiking lead by locals. Soba noodle Lunch is included. You will experience the holy mountain of Fushimi through an alternative off-beaten path. This experience includes: 1) Sightseeing of the main shrine and thousands of red gates, with an explanation of their history and cultural background. 2) Easy walking through a peaceful bamboo and cedar tree forest path, visiting authentic holy spots (worship stones & waterfall) and a factory. 3) Going up a forest route to the summit shrine (20 min). The summit is 233m high, and I will show you around the shrine. 4) Photo-shooting part. On the way down, I will show you lots of photogenic spots that are usually less crowded. 5) Snack & drink, and the breathtaking panorama view of Kyoto city from the viewpoint. 6) Lunch at the best soba restaurant. Explore the sights of Arashiyama and Fushimi Inari on this full-day, private minivan tour based out of Osaka. In Arashiyama, you'll visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Tenryuji, known for its beautiful architecture, gorgeous classic gardens, and lovely vistas. Then it's on to the world famous bamboo grove. Picture time! Afterwards, we slip away to the quiet, rarefied environs of the Okochi Sanso estate for gardens, architecture, and a matcha tea break too. We start at your hotel in Kyoto at 9:30 a.m. In the village of Inari, we will explore the Shinto shrine Fushimi Inari Taisha, a sacred place dedicated to the deity Inari, associated with fertility, agriculture and business success. With thousands of beautiful red torii marking the way to the top of the hill. Our next stop will be the city of Nara, the first capital of Japan between 710 and 784. During this period the great temples were built that we will visit: Kofukuji (with a spectacular pagoda) and Todaiji (the largest wooden structure in the world). Then we will tour the majestic Park of Nara, full of deer, considered the ancient messengers of the gods. After free time for lunch on your own, the tour will end at Kyoto Central Station at approximately 5:30 p.m. Please note that even if you do not want to have lunch, there will be a mandatory 30-minute break for the guide to recover energy.
