Hiking Climbing

Situated at the extreme southwestern tip of Mauritius, you will hike and climb to the memorial cross of Le Morne Brabant Mountain (UNESCO world heritage site), guided by our local and qualified mountaineer who is totally committed to safety, comfort and fun. Experience the first light of the day, followed by the magical sunrise with its golden colours which can be seen only at this time of the day. This activity involves multiple rock-scrambling and climbing sections which can be tackled participants with little to no experience in mountain climbing. During the hike, you will learn about the unique flora and fauna of the island, the history of the mountain and the cultural aspects of Mauritius, accompanied by a local qualified mountain guide. You will also spot “Boucle d’Oreille” commonly known as Trochetia Boutoniana, the endemic national flower of Mauritius.

If you are a fan of breathtaking viewpoints and very nice Instagram photos, then this activity is for you. Located at only 30 km from Cluj-Napoca, Cheile Turzii (Turda Gorge) is one of the most beautiful gorges from Romania. There are 2 alternatives for this tour: a) the adventurous one, where we climb the via ferrata from the gorge; b) the easy one, where we hike through a lot of scenic viewpoints above the gorge. You can specify which option you prefer when you book a tour. The climbing is very easy (no technical experience required), starting from the river level and making our way up the gorge, passing through a vertical cave called "Grota lui Hili". The via ferrata is one way only, and the climbing down will be made on a hiking trail. Alternatively, if you have fear of heights or you are not a big fan of adrenaline, you can choose the hiking option (b). The views are just as breathtaking. The via cordata is a route equipped in a rock face in order to be able to move more easily.This is an intermediate activity between classic hiking and climbing. If you go to Iceland you have to try out ice climbing on a glacier. All of our guides are local, professional mountain guides. We try to find three different areas climb on. We start with an easy ice wall to teach you basic skills to ice climb. Our guides tailor the climbs to suit you. You don’t have to know anything about climbing or be super fit to do this tour, this is a introduction tour so you don’t have to be afraid to try this out. What is Ice climbing? ice climbing is a sport/ activity that let you climb vertical ice walls and explore places you never thought existed. Our guides will also show you the wonders of the glacier, such as crevasses and moulins. What is a crevasse and moulins? crevasse is a crack on the glacier that is created by movement of the glacier. Moulins are water tunnel that goes vertical in to the glacier. This is perfect tour to see the glacier and try out some ice climbing with a local guide.

The eastern side of Sugarloaf referred to as the Costão, allows for an enchanting hike up to the top of the mountain, providing you with spectacular views of the sea, forest, and mountain, as well as the lovely city of Niterói, all in one place. After enjoying the views at the top of the mountain, we will come down by cable car, which is also included in the price. The cable car will take us to Morro da Urca, the smaller mountain next to Sugar Loaf. From there, we will walk down the trail to get back to the Claudio Coutinho path.
