Your guide will explain the Ria Formosa and the islands to you throughout the tour and will help with everything you need. During the stops, all customers are free, for the time stipulated by the captain. During the boat tour you will not feel nausea, since we sail only in the interior of the Ria Formosa. Choose between the morning or afternoon tour, with the afternoon option including sunset! In the summer, we recommend the afternoon tour, as the islands are less busy, the temperature is more pleasant and excellent for swimming. The itinerary is the same, with the only difference that we spend less time in Culatra, as there is no lunch included, but you can eat on the islands if you want. Parages: – 1st Stop – Farol Island ( 1h00 ) – 2nd Stop : Ilha da Culatra ( 2H00 ) , stop for lunch , with several restaurants on the island or can bring food if so preferred. – 3rd Stop – Desert Beach or Armona Island ( 1h00 )

Next, a drive through historical Citadel Military college. Then, on to Sullivan's Island, and to stroll the grounds of Fort Moultrie, out to the beach, and the best view of Charleston from the water. Finally, the lighthouse. I am a city certified tour guide that takes you outside the limits! There are walks on this tour, and includes beach dunes. In this tour, you will experience two of the most popular hikes on the island. Since parking is limited at both locations, having a shuttle is highly recommended! We will provide you guys with a water bottle and some information about the island. Feel free to ask as many questions!

As we cruise the waters around Portland Harbor we will make stops at Portland Breakwater Light, Spring Point Light and Ram Island Ledge Light before stopping at Maine’s oldest and most iconic lighthouse, Portland Headlight. This historic beacon, with its striking architecture and stark coastal backdrop, is a sight to behold from the perspective of the Atlantic Ocean as seafarers have done for more than 200 years. After photos and information about this iconic lighthouse, we continue the ride along the rocky shores of Cape Elizabeth to Two Lights State Park, whose twin lighthouses perch atop dramatic cliffs. Our best chance for wildlife comes during the next leg of the ride as we cruise open waters to Halfway Rock Lighthouse, a true maritime relic. Standing proudly on a remote ledge in the open ocean, it has guided mariners through thick fog and turbulent waters for over a century. Seals are often found hanging on the rocks and feeding in the nutrient-rich waters.

After your ferry crossing passing Carbery’s 100 Isles, arrive at Cape Clear Island, spend some free time exploring this Gaeltacht Island, learning about the island’s culture, the islander life, including old traditions and traditional farming. Discover the island’s ancient standing stones, Napoleonic Tower, Dún an Óir Castle , 12th century church and visit the memorial on the Island to the 1979 Fastnet Yacht Race Disaster. See the Fastnet Rock Lighthouse in the distance on one of the walking trials or enjoy lunch at one of the island’s bars and restaurants. After lunch re-board the ferry travelling to see the lighthouse. Catch a glimpse of the magnificent whales and dolphins en route! We circumnavigate ‘An Carraig Aonair` or the ‘Lonely Rock’ taking in its history and culture. Once we have circled the Rock twice, to get the perfect photo, we head for home enjoying the spectacular scenery until we reach our final port.

Drive on the coastal road to the Southwest of the Island, to Santo André where we will begin our ascend along the man made mountain path. In the clear blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean below, you may have the opportunity to witness Sealife such as, dolphins, sea turtles, manta rays and more. The sun sets in the West, needless to say, this is one of the best places to capture it in São Vicente. After a rewarding hike, return along the mountainside path to the beach; return to your accommodation in Mindelo.
