Along with your experienced guide you will paddle at a relaxing pace and explore the shallow, calm, blue-green waters of the back country of Key West. You will glide through the winding mangrove creeks and paddle through inches of water, where you can easily view and learn about the geological structure of the Keys along with its inhabitants, all from the comfort of your kayak. Your adventure will give you a chance to view the mangrove environment up close, along with its marine life including tropical fish, crabs, sea stars, jellyfish, sea cucumbers, sponges and various aquatic birds. Every trip leads us on a different adventure! all guests must know how to swim. Rest rooms to change on site. No lockers but things can be left behind at paddle shack. Beginners welcome!

This 2-hour marsh kayaking excursion is designed for intermediate to novice, and young adult paddlers, ensuring a relaxed and enjoyable experience for all skill levels. You and a small group of paddlers will explore the unspoiled coastal marshes of Charleston's estuaries, immersing yourselves in the area's tranquil ambiance and breathtaking natural beauty. As you paddle through these pristine waters, keep an eye out for the diverse wildlife that calls this habitat home. Encounter Atlantic bottlenose dolphins playfully surfacing, catch glimpses of loggerhead sea turtles gliding by, and observe a variety of waterfowl in their natural environment. This adventure offers a unique opportunity to connect with nature and witness the vibrant ecosystem of Charleston's coastal marshes.

Take a 4-hour guided kayak tour to Clover Pass, (2 -2.5 hours in the kayaks) with scheduling to fit virtually every cruise ship. This is an amazing waterway with several rainforest islands, about 15 miles north of town. Your guides will get you away from the crowds and often to better weather where you'll paddle around 3 scenic islands where dense rainforest meets the sea. The Tongass National Forest is the largest National Forest in the U.S. and surrounds Clover Pass. Most tours encounter the resident Steller sea lions, seals, bald eagles and other birds, an immense array of intertidal life, and sometimes humpback whales, orcas, porpoises and jumping salmon along the route as well. Occasionally we even see Sitka deer or black bears down at the beach. While specific wildlife viewing cannot be guaranteed, Clover Pass is second to none for wildlife viewing near Ketchikan and our micro climate, north of town, consistently provides dryer weather and calmer waters than downtown.
