Join us for a Sake tasting session with a local Sake lover, with 10kinds of Sake and some Japanese snacks!! It takes around 1.5 hour and you will get to know Sake!! Experience Sake in a restaurant with us while learing about basic information of Sake and the differences between region, production method and tempreture. If you like to drink more, we can serve you more glasses and refill too!! So you do not have to think of saving drinking also!! Some Sakes are rarely seen outside Japan, so it wil be the activity that you can only experince when you are in Japan!! Basically Kyoto's sake tastes sweet because of soft water. We'll explore two of my favorite breweries, sake museum and local bar. I'm passionate about sake, and I’d like to share with you the process of sake making, comparing different kinds and brands. You will taste the differences between sakes—the highest quality, unfiltered, unpasteurized, and many other seasonable sakes. We help to find your favorite type of sake!

Sake Tasting Tour


You will enjoy walking through scenic old-town Takayama as you make the rounds of six sake breweries, sampling a variety of different styles. Remember to take it slow. That's a lot of sake! Your guide is an experienced brewery worker who can explain what gives each sake its unique flavor. By the end of the tour, you should have a good idea of what kind of sake you like, and how to find it. Adults only, please (20 years old or older). There is an optional behind-the-scenes tour of the production facilities at one of the breweries (subject to availability).

We will go to a wonderful Japanese restaurant. However, please note that alcohol and food are not included in the participation fee because including them would make the participation fee higher. But you can order great sake and delicious seafood and meat dishes at a restaurant while listening to my easy-to-understand explanation of sake.There, you can experience tasting attractive sakes and comparing the taste differences. Then, you can pair the sake with a wonderful Japanese dish. It will delight your tongue. At the same time, you can get knowledge about sake. I can tell you a lot of information such as how to make and drink sake, about the aroma of sake, and how the taste of sake changes depending on the temperature. After that, we will move to a sake shop and explain how to choose the best sake bottle for you. Finally, I will tell you the store where you can buy sake tools and other items. You can find a lot of great sake tools there.
