We offer a tour for a small group to enjoy togetherness and excitement while hunting for Northern Lights in the beautiful landscapes of the Altafjord. We arrange organized guided tours since 2007 and have the knowledge about how to find the Northern Lights if the conditions are there. On our tours you normally will have 80-90 % chance of seeing this spectacular view. Each tour is different, as we focus on finding the optimal place with the greatest chance of seeing the lights. We therefore sometimes have to drive quite far to find them, while sometimes we find them in the surrounding area. Necessary driving distance decide whether we establish a camp with a fire, or whether we serve hot chocolate and snacks at one of our short stops. While enjoying the great outdoors, we will share with you local stories about Norwegian way of living, local history from the Stone Age, Sami culture, reindeer-herding, 2nd World War and the modern society in Alta. We are normally back just over midnight.

See Branson’s magical, electrical, celebration of the holidays like a VIP from one of our luxury coaches.  Our lights tour is  limited to 14 passengers, so you’ll get an upscale, personal, experience from our guide. Your itinerary includes riding through two of Branson’s most eye-popping lighting displays. The ability to experience Christmas, embracing it with a series of thematic decorations that cannot be expressed with words because the magic that this place offers is unique in its kind. The owners of the houses in this neighborhood have been carrying on the tradition of lights for a long time and have made Dyker Heights a very important tourist destination. Our Tour will take you to Brooklyn every day at 4:00 pm and for four hours you can immerse yourself in the brilliance and beauty that the illuminations of Dyker Heights will give you. After we pick you up from your hotel in Kiruna, we will start to chase the northern lights that depends on each night according to the weather conditions. We can drive to Abisko, Kiruna’s boreal forest or wherever we can find clear sky to see Aurora Borealis. Lights of Vikings have a really high success rate in finding clear sky which is one of the most important criteria to see the Northern Lights. Our concept is famous for driving long distances if necessary! Wherever we go during the tour, we will tell you many stories about the northern lights and Vikings. After finding clear sky, we’ll admire the northern lights and we will take pictures which we’ll send to you within 3 days after the tour. If you bring your own camera, we will help you set it up to get the best shots. As the northern lights dance in the sky we will serve hot drinks and make a camp fire for you to keep warm. After the northern lights tour, we will drive you back to Kiruna.

We pick you up from your hotel in the evening and together we go in search of the Northern Lights in a comfortable coach/mini bus. Named after the Roman goddess Aurora, these colourful lights swirl around the sky in a dramatic dance, leaving different patterns and shapes. We drive away from the electric street lights of Akureyri to more rural areas where there is a better chance of seeing the Northern Lights. Once we find the lights, we make sure you have enough time to take plenty of photographs. The Northern Lights have had a number of names throughout the history. The Greek´s called this phenomenon the “Dance of the Spirits”. In Europe, during the Middle Ages, these lights were commonly believed to be a sign from God. The old Icelandic folktale tell us about the angels dancing in heaven, their dresses were suppose to create these magnificent shapes of light in the sky.
