On this walking tour, you'll learn about burial practices, types of tombs, and visit the graves of some of the city's notable (and notorious) citizens including the hunchbacked photographer who secretly photographed prostitutes, the woman behind the quirky castle, the famed architect whose ship went down with over a 100 prostitutes and circus performers, and legendary chefs who collectively advanced the Civil Rights movement, restored horse racing in the city, and (for better or worse) introduced the turducken to the U.S. The tour takes an 1:15 and is under a mile. Sally is passionate about revealing New Orleans' unusual, outrageous, and untold stories, believing history isn’t about merely listing dates and facts, but the gentle collision of truth and narrative – scandals and all!
