Departure from Marrakech at 9am, and drive to Imlil Valley passing by Moulay Brahim Gorges and Asni centre; well-known with its weekly Berber market every Saturday. After a further we arrive in Imlil (1,740m); a starting point of several trekking and walking options through the High Atlas valleys and Berber villages including Mount Toubkal (4167m); the highest summit in North Africa. Here you will leave our vehicle to take a welcome glass of mint tea in the village and meet your local mountain guide prior to setting out for your hike which takes around 3-4 hrs walking. The route takes you towards the south to the Berber village of Aremd at 2000m passing the hamlets of Ait Souka, Targa, Imoula, with a stop to see Tagartoun Waterfall. From Aremd village you will be able to enjoy a panoramic view over the neighbouring villages and the high Atlas Peaks such as Mount Toubkal, Aguelzim summit, Adrar el Hadj, Tamatert pass, Mzik pass and Asaoul.

We will have time to visit the picturesque St Emilion village founded in the 9th century (if you like instead of a 3rd wine château there is an underground monolithic church organised by the Tourist office). We will visit the small neighbouring appellation of Pomerol too where the iconic Petrus is located. Lots to see, taste and great passionate people to meet in my home town!

A short and pleasant country drive from Chiang Mai Province takes you to neighbouring Lamphun Province, which was once the Haripunchai Kingdom. Lamphun is its capitol and also one of Thailand's oldest cities, dating as far back as the 8th Century,. In fact, it pre-dates Chiang Mai by several centuries. On this tour you will visit two of the finest and most significant temples in northern Thailand. Nusa Penida, and neighbouring Lembongan and Ceningan islands, are a bird sanctuary.[3] The islands communities have used traditional Balinese village regulations to create the sanctuary. The idea of a sanctuary came from the Friends of the National Parks Foundation (FNPF).[4] In 2006 all 35 villages (now 41 villages) agreed to make bird protection part of their traditional regulations (“awig-awig”). Since then, the FNPF has rehabilitated and released various Indonesian birds, most notably the critically endangered Bali starling which is endemic to Bali but whose numbers in the wild had declined to less than 10 in 2005. After a two-year program by FNPF in which 64 cage bred birds were rehabilitated and released onto Nusa Penida, their number had increased to over 100 in 2009. Other released birds include the Java sparrow, Mitchell's lorikeet and sulphur crested cockatoo.
