It is a desert area, a geomorphological marvel. Our ancestors called it Las Salinas today known known worldwide as Valle de la Luna, surrounded by a set of landscapes of incomparable beauty that resemble a fragment of the lunar landscape to which it owes its name. In 1982 it was declared a Nature Sanctuary and is part of the Los Flamencos National Reserve in this place you can see a geological spectacle of great interest, especially when sunrise and sunset. During your visit you can contemplate: the famous natural formation known by our ancestors as Los Tres Watchmen today called Las Tres Marías, Duna Mayor; majestic body of sand and viewpoints such as; Quebrada Honda where the famous Piedra del Coyote (Mirador de Ckari) is located. The Salar de Atacama is the largest salt deposit in Chile and is formed by a depression with no water outlet that receives from the San Pedro River and multiple streams through which water is filtered from the mountain range. Inside this, you will find Laguna Cejar beautiful and mystical of turquoise color. Its high salt content generates the floating effect which makes a relaxing bath and a fun experience. Venture into one of the most hostile places in the world: the Atacama Desert. You will have the opportunity to visit this amazing place more intimately, sharing your day with other travellers but avoiding big groups: Within the Flamencos National Reserve, you will get to the world-famous Moon Valley. Find yourself astonished as you take in the views of a geological phenomenon known as Salt Mountain Range. You will understand the delicacy of the clay when visiting 'Las Tres Marias'; sculptures carved by nature. And, for a perfect closure admire the landscape from Kari Lookout point!

 We will visit a series of lagoons inside the Salar de Atacama, the largest salt flat in Chile. We will first visit the Ojos del Salar, two deep wells of fresh water in the middle of the desert, where you can enjoy a refreshing swim. Then we will visit the Tebinquinche Lagoon, where we will walk along its path to appreciate the magnificent views, where the sky merges with the desert and the whiteness of the salt. The tour continues in the famous Laguna Cejar and Laguna Piedra, surrounded by green and yellow grass that highlights the color of the water, contemplating a unique landscape of turquoise waters and volcanoes. In the latter we can enjoy a bath with which we will experience the flotation effect, similar to that of the Dead Sea. To end the day, we will enjoy a snack watching the sunset overlooking these lagoons. Bathing is only allowed in Laguna Piedra and Ojos del Salar. Bathing is not allowed in Laguna Cejar or Laguna Tebinquinche.

We will go to unique places by bike. We will visit the ancient place where the Inca and Licanantai resisted the Spanish invasion.

We will cross the valley transversally, visiting its famous rock formations: the Tres Marías, the Canyon and the Amphitheater. Geysers are formations that usually exist in volcanic regions. They are like small volcanoes that erupt with water, expelled through a crevasse. The water that comes out of the geysers is very hot and, when in contact with the air, generates steam, which is even more evident when the air is cold.

We will travel for an hour in which we will be able to see the variation of colors of the desert landscape. We will arrive at the entrance to the hidden lagoons of Baltinache, where we can use the bathrooms before continuing the tour. We will follow the path that will take us through the seven lagoons that make up this wonderful landscape, of which only the last one can be used for swimming. Due to the amount of salt they contain, you will be able to experience the floating effect similar to that of the Dead Sea. After having seen this attraction in the middle of the Atacama Desert, we will begin our return, passing through the entrance facilities to use the bathrooms. On the way back, we will watch the sunset over the desert before arriving in the center of San Pedro de Atacama.

Officially the driest desert on the planet, Atacama is an all year-round destination. Summer days definitely get sizzling hot whilst nights keep a constant low temperature due to the altitudes. The Altiplanic winter consists of afternoon downpours with plenty of electrical storms. Sometimes heavy rains in January and February and snow fall during July and August. Who could have imagined that in a desert it is possible to find so much water and such beautiful places? The region of Hiddens Laggons (Lagunas Escondidas) de Baltinache is a true oasis. A majestic setting rich in colors, sensations and of course – water. Altogether there are seven incredibly transparent saltwater lagoons. Needless to say, it is practically impossible to sink there, as the salinity of the water is very high. The Hidden Lagoons are located at an altitude of 2,400 meters and temperatures range from 5ºC to 30ºC. The route is all demarcated by stones, the objective is to preserve open nature, so that other people can also enjoy the beauties of the place. Nothing more fair, right?
