The longest running surf school in Lahaina, Goofy Foot was established on Maui in April, 1994 by the Owner/Instructor Tim Sherer to perpetuate his relationship with Mother Ocean and to teach the ancient Hawaiian sport of surfing. We are dedicated to providing professional surfing lessons to all levels of aspiring students in the spirit of fun and learning. We are committed to facilitating the highest level of experience for our guests with a focus on teaching safety, ocean awareness and surfing fundamentals. Students are guaranteed to standup and ride at least one wave, and even more are given a smart approach to learning to surf that is based on technique and fundamentals that they can use to accelerate learning on their own.

We are one of the few locally owned/operated surf schools on the North Shore of Oahu. Lessons are for for all ages and all levels. Surfboard and rash guard will be provided for the lesson. Surfing is fun but can get really dangerous really fast and being with an instructor who dedicates there life to this compared to someone who does it part time, for fun could be the difference of getting hurt or just not having a great first experience.
