Our exciting tour starts early, when our driver picks you up directly at your hotel's lobby or Airbnb. Our first stop is at San Martin Tilcajete, a town known for its alebrijes. Once you get there, you will feel as if you have crossed a portal to a magical world of alebrijes. These creatures that are carved out of wood are hand-painted and full of vibrant colors. They are the soul of Oaxacan handcrafts. After learning about the elaboration process of these fantastic figures and with the help of a master craftsman, you will be able to paint your own alebrije!
