The Icelandic Highlands is a unique area with some rugged landscape and that is exactly where this tour takes you. This 4-hour snowmobile adventure tour departs from Gullfoss. Marvel at the Icelandic scenery during your ride to the glacier in a 4×4 monster truck, then hop on your snowmobile after a brief instruction lecture and drive along and on-top of Langjökull glacier. Perfect for the independent traveler which just happens to be in the Golden Circle and wants to add a little extra to their sightseeing tour.

Joining this subarctic adventure and driving a snowmobile over Europe’s biggest glacier, will be one of the most exciting experiences you will ever participate in. Along with an exciting adventure, you will also experience an unbelievable view over the glacier. About halfway through the tour, we’ll stop and you can take pictures and peacefully enjoy the scenery. Our guides are informative and entertaining and will tell you facts about the area and the glacier. A valid driver’s license is required to operate the snowmobile. Participants combined weight on one snowmobile MUST be 180kg / 390lbs or less. If your combined weight exceeds 180kg / 390lbs you need to book single snowmobiles. The standard version of our snowmobile tour has two persons riding on one snowmobile. However, if you are travelling solo or in an odd number group 1, 3, 5, etc., you need to book at least one solo rider. Additional cost for 1 x solo rider is 10.000 ISK – paid at the base camp

We only use brand-new equipment! Old-style snowmobiles are hard to turn and operate. Our 2024 snowmobiles are effortless to steer and come with features like heated handlebars, throttle, and heated helmets. We only serve one party at a time so there is no rush if you're learning for the first time, but also those who are more experienced can take advantage of a more advanced ride.

Driving through the Geysir hot spring area from Reykjavik with its boiling mud pits and spouting hot springs we head to Gullfoss waterfall and from there straight towards Langjökull glacier for a snowmobile tour. Let the snowfields take your breath away while enjoying the thrill of dashing across Europe‘s second-largest glacier. Our final stop is located by a small village called Flúðir where we will take a dip in a secret outdoor lagoon which is a natural thermal hot spring. Enjoy a luxurious bath to soothe away the day's cares. This is a small group tour operated on a Super Jeep, so you can enjoy a more personal experience.

See spouting geysers, experience the magnificent Gullfoss waterfall, and follow in the footsteps of vikings in Thingvellir National Park as you walk between the American and European continents. Finish up your 10-hour guided tour by stepping aboard a super truck and heading off into the glacier-covered central highlands to ride a snowmobile across one of the biggest glaciers in the world.

An unstoppable vehicle specially modified in Iceland to get around safely where regular cars can’t go. Note that you need to hold an International driving license to operate a Snowmobile in Iceland and the price is based on two persons sharing a snowmobile.

It is undoubtedly a highlight of the tour, where small kids (less than 100 lbs) have the opportunity to ride solo on Mini Snowmobiles – if you’re looking for that perfect holiday snap…this is it! Our 2 Hour Tour includes a hot drink and a snack at our backcountry cabin. Kids also ride free with one full paying adult!

You will drive in pairs with one driver and one passenger per snowmobile and plenty of opportunities to switch places during the two-hour snowmobiling adventure between the snow-covered mountains up to a frozen lake. Lake Finn marks the halfway point of our snowmobiling adventure and is a good place to take photos and play in the snow. Please kindly note that this tour is not focused on catching the Northern Lights, but it offers a great chance of witnessing the natural phenomenon.

This safari is the perfect option for families with small children. You will enjoy the beautiful wintry scenery and will make several stops to admire nature on the way. 2 adults will ride on one snowmobile, single riding supplement for extra charge. After adult-snowmobiling, it is time for children to have more fun. You stop at the special area, where is safe for children to ride on their own on the mini-snowmobile. Self ride is suitable for children up to 11-12 years, smaller kids will be helped by the parent or guide.

Snowmobile Adventure Itinerary: 9:00 AM – Meeting Point Pickup Begin your journey with a convenient pickup from the designated meeting point. 10:00 AM – Arrival at Sakae Snowmobile Location or arrival at Shiga Kogen Snowmobile Location (It depends on the weather conditions) Reach the scenic Sakae region, surrounded by stunning snow-covered landscapes. 10:25 AM – Preparation Time Gear up and receive a brief introduction to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. 10:30 AM – Snowmobile Adventure Begins Embark on an exhilarating one-hour snowmobile ride through Sakae’s pristine trails. 12:00 PM – Snowmobiling Ends 12:15 PM – Onsen Experience Begins Relax and rejuvenate in a traditional onsen, soaking in the warm waters while surrounded by snow. 1:00 PM – Onsen Experience Ends Finish your relaxing onsen experience. 1:00 PM – Lunch Enjoy a delicious lunch with local specialties. 3:30 PM – Return to Meeting Point Enjoy a relaxed drop-off back at your starting location.
