The Americans early settlements, lavish lifestyles and immense wealth are obvious as we walk through this opulent and super astonishing neighborhood. Our Tour begins outside of the gates of Lafayette Cemetery #1, as you learn of the basic burial information and customs and discuss why New Orleans cemeteries are so unique (NOTE: PUBLIC ACCESS IS NOT ALLOWED IN THIS CEMETERY) We then walk around the neighborhood where you'll see the architectural styles of the Americans. You will see celebrity homes, perfectly manicured landscapes and movie hotspots as well.  Walk with a local, see it through our eyes!

Whitney Plantation Tour with Transportation from New Orleans


Hop aboard our luxury style vehicles to explore the iconic Whitney Plantation. On the morning of your tour, our driver will call you before their arrival and will also greet you when he or she arrives. While traveling out to the plantation he or she points out interesting facts along the way, listening to various types of New Orleans jazz music. Upon arrival at the plantation, they will check you in and give you information for the beginning to the end of the tour, such as what to explore after the tour and where to meet once the tour is over. The self guided tour is one hour fifteen minutes, we allow our guest time to explore the museum and use the restroom before heading back into the city. This tour goes out twice at 8:00 a.m. to approximately 1:30p.m. and 10:00 a.m. to approximately 3:30 p.m. this time includes tour and travel time.

New Orleans African American Heritage Walking Tour


During this 2H walking tour, you will learn how People of African ancestry first arrived at New Orleans in 1719, within a year of the establishment of the city, having been forcibly removed from the Senegambia region of West Africa. Roughly five thousand Africans survived the Middle Passage en route to French Louisiana during the 1720s, followed in the 1780s by a similarly sized group brought by the Spanish from the Benin and Congo regions. Enslaved Africans of the colonial era cleared forests, raised crops, and built the city infrastructure. In this visit You will see how African culture persisted in New Orleans, influencing everything from food to music to religion to architecture. Your tour guide will take you to the famous Square Congo, now part of Armstrong Park on the edge of the French Quarter in the Faubourg Treme where hundreds of African slaves and laborers congregated to trade goods, play music, dance, and socialize.

The first burial to take place was for Lloyd Washington of the Ink Spots on October 23, 2004. The Musicians Tomb was restored and is administered by Robert Florence of NOLA Historic Tours. Learn about the Second Line & stroll down Basin Street to the remains of Storyville, fabled red light district whose parlors presented Buddy Bolden and Jelly Roll Morton. Then move through the Tango Belt to May Bailey’s and the French Opera House, ending with the legendary Preservation Hall.
