Ice caves in Iceland are unpredictable and you never know when, if, where or how many will form. But in the last few years, they have consistently formed by Vatnajökull glacier, which is the largest glacier in Europe. They are beautiful to see and a popular photo opportunity for many travelers. This tour will take you on an exploration of an ice cave inside the National Park of Vatnajökull. Ice caves are a rare phenomena that form naturally, so this tour is a once in a life time experience.

Aokigahara forest, as known as Jukai (Sea of trees) is located on the north side of Mt. Fuji and attracts many people. Experience this exciting hiking and ice caving adventure of the Vatnajökull Glacier in Skaftafell National Park! As you arrive at the park, you will meet your professional glacier guide who will lead the way to some of Vatnajökull Glacier‘s spectacular ice caves and tell you all there is to know about the area. This tour includes hiking for approximately 3 hours up on the glacier visiting multiple, relatively small ice caves along the way. You will be provided with crampons for walking on the ice as well as helmets and ice axes. Waterproof clothing and hiking boots are available for rent but it is highly recommend that you bring these items with you on the tour, also food and drinks are not included.

You may be asking yourself how in the world can I eat ice cream while out on the water paddle boarding? Well, thanks to Kool Beans Ice Cream Boat on Waquoit Bay you can! We are combining two of the best summer experiences ever and offering ice cream socials…on a SUP! We will meet at Great River Boat Ramp in Mashpee and paddle board or kayak our way over to the Kool Beans Ice Cream Boat where you can choose from various tasty ice cream novelties or an iced coffee or frappuccino to enjoy on the board. This is a great way for families and friends to enjoy time together on the water while encountering the gorgeous scenery that Cape Cod is so well known for. You’ll have opportunities to see salt marshes, coastal birds, aquatic life and local oyster farms. We will also have plenty of time to explore and play. All skill levels and ages are welcome, including beginners. Smaller children can ride along with a parent and must wear a life jacket.

It’s time to jump in a super jeep, strap on your crampons and step onto the mighty Myrdalsjokull glacier. Mother Nature has really outdone herself with this one, the movie-like surroundings and glaciers are everywhere you look. Grandiose ice walls tower over you as you walk among them to enter the magical blue and black ice dome of the outlet glacier named after the powerful volcano Katla. Prepare to have your breath taken away! We will come to a stop near the roots of Kötlujökull glacier and the view that greets us is otherworldly. We will take on our crampons and helmets, and take a short walk to the opening of the ice cave. We might need to climb a few steps on ladders to the entrance of the cave. As the natural ice cave is in constant change, conditions can be different on each tour. The climb is, however, not difficult at all, and anyone in an average physical condition should be able to climb these steps. It might look adventurous but it is not demanding at all!
