We do the tour of the Voortrekker monument to learn about the journey the Dutch people took from the Cape Province inland including the Battle of the Blood river where the Dutch faught with the Zulus under Dingaan. From the Voortrekker monument the tour proceed to Paul Kruger house, a heritage side depicting the life of the late President of the Transvaal Paul Kruger. We proceed to the Union building,the administrative capital of South Africa. The impressive building is surrounded by pretty terraced garden that offer panoramic views over the city. It is nicknamed Jacaranda city due to Jacaranda trees lining the streets. Jacarandas bloom purple flowers between September and November. The statue of Nelson Mandela was unveiled here on Reconciliation Day the 16 December 2013,24 hours after his burial.
