Join us for an exciting tour and visit the Jozani Forest and the Rock Restaurant in one day! This tour can be either done in the morning or afternoon and takes half a day. Our driver will be ready to pick you up from your hotel. You will first visit the Jozani National Park, home to the Red Colobus Monkey and the only National Park in Zanzibar. Enjoy walking around this beautiful nature park with a guide. After your visit to Jozani National Park, you will continue your adventure and will be taken to the Rock restaurant, which is an extraordinary seafood restaurant located on a rock in the middle of the Indian Ocean. On the south of the island, there is a magical forest called Jozani Forest. The scenery of this typical forest is unique in many different ways. Jozani Forest is currently being considered Zanzibar’s second-world heritage site! The Jozani-Chwaka Bay area is a hotspot of biodiversity; the forest is home to several endemic species, including the Zanzibar Red Colobus Monkey. During this one hour and a half tour at Jozani forest you will learn more about them. After the tour, our driver will drop you off to your hotel where you will be back full of nice memories.

There are about 6000 red colobus monkeys residing in Jozani Forest. Jozani Forest has several habitats including Swamp Forest, Evergreen Thickets, Mangroves, as well as a variety of wildlife, including sykes and red colobus monkeys, and lots of birdlife. After visiting the monkeys, you will walk across to the Pete-Jozani Mangrove Boardwalk, which entwines through coral thicket vegetation, mangrove forest and across a creek.
