Glasgow: Loch Lomond, the Trossachs and Stirling Castle


Upon leaving Glasgow you will visit the bonnie, bonnie banks of Loch Lomond where you can take a lovely 1 hour cruise across its waters, or you can pay a visit to Loch Lomond Shores for a coffee and beautiful views across the Loch. Next you will traverse the Trossachs National Park where you will witness the ‘Highlands in Miniature’. You will finish your day at Stirling Castle where you will learn the history of William Wallace and Robert the Bruce before returning to Glasgow.


Stirling Castle, Kelpies and Loch Lomond from Edinburgh


On this incredible tour, we explore the beautiful Scottish Highlands seeing castles, lochs, sculptures and perhaps some ‘Hairy Coos’ along the way. Departing the historic Royal Mile on an air-conditioned bus we head towards the iconic Kelpies, where you can take a close up look at these magnificent sculptures. We make our way towards Balloch, situated to the south of Loch Lomond’s Bonnie Banks. Here you can explore and take an optional hour-long boat cruise on the loch. Departing Loch Lomond we head towards the quaint village of Aberfoyle before exploring the picturesque Duke's Pass. Passing through Callander we make our way to Stirling where you can either take a stroll around the city centre or visit the historic Stirling Castle. Heading back we stop to catch a glimpse of the famous 3 bridges that span the River Forth before returning to Edinburgh *Boat cruise and entry to Stirling Castle are paid for on the day and are not included in the price of the tour.

We shall discuss the build-up and the main characters involved in the battle, as well as present-day initiatives aiming to commemorate the importance of the Battle of Stirling Bridge. The Tour ends with a unique opportunity to look out at the viewpoint where the wooden bridge from the Battle collapses. Stirling Castle & Loch Day Tour


On departure we will travel to Luss which is on the bonnie bonnie banks of Loch Lomond. We will then travel to the Falls of Dochart where you can see a beautiful waterfall and have a refreshment if desired. Afterwards we will travel to Loch Lubnaig where you can see some beautiful scenic views (this stop is dependant on parking availability). By this time you may wish to have a light bite and we will stop at the Trossachs Woollen Mill in Kilmahog where you might have the opportunity to meet some 'hairy coos' (highland cattle) however this is dependant on the month as they are only here between April and October. You may also wish to buy souvenirs here. Our final stop of the day is the magnificent Stirling Castle. PLEASE NOTE: the tour start time can be amended if required (especially to accommodate a shore excursion) – please advise when booking.
