This self-guided ride begins with a prompt shuttle bus to Arrowtown, where you’ll be fitted with a bike and given all the details for your ride. The ride follows the stunning Arrow River Trail, crossing the river via a few spectacular bridges. You'll then join the Twin Rivers Trail, which winds alongside the Kawarau and Shotover rivers, with some challenging climbs along the way. The route finishes at Around The Basin's shop in central Queenstown (3 Searle Lane). With 36 km of hilly terrain, this ride will take around 3.5 to 4 hours. We recommend an electric bike to make the journey more comfortable and enjoyable, helping you tackle the climbs with ease while you take in the beautiful scenery. The shuttle will pick you up at the designated time given in the briefing on the day from your chosen winery in Gibbston Valley. You can pick up the bike during the shop's opening hours, but if you want to leave early in the morning and the bike you've selected is free, you can also pick it up the night before. If you don't have a safe place to park it overnight, you can return it in the evening and pick it up in the morning, already charged, during shop opening hours.
