I’m Paula and with my partner Jorge are professional tango dancers from Argentina living in Barcelona for over 20 years. We've been sharing our passion, first in Buenos Aires, now in Barcelona, for 30 years. We have our tango school in Barcelona and travel around the world sharing our dance. If you want to live the golden age of Argentine tango, Tango Porteño is the right place to go. Have a great tango show and indulge yourself in the sophisticated decoration, the incredible staging and live the tango at its best, accompanied by top quality cuisine. If you choose the Dinner option, you'll indulge in a delectable gourmet meal before the show. Enjoy a variety of fine wines, Argentine steak, and sinful desserts. If you choose the show only option, you will arrive directly to enjoy a Tango night. You will witness an unprecedented spectacle, with more than 30 artists and 12 live musicians on stage. In addition, you can also choose to have a tango lesson that will give you an idea of the show you will see later.

You will get a wonderfull experience. At first you are going to do a 60 minutes tango class, where you are going to learn the basics movements. You will be able to dance in a Milonga after that. When we finish the class, we are going to taste some home made empanadas, with a typical wine (Malbec) from Argentina. The experience is inside a typical and original Conventillo (popular house of the inmigrants). So, you will have the chance of see how the inmigrants used to live.

You will enjoy 60 minutes at a comfortable studio with your professional dance instructor at the Tango capital of the world. The lesson is private and available for groups of friends, families, travel mates or single travelers. Tango Palace: two centuries-old rooms An unforgettable experience in the heart of Buenos Aires It is a unique space of its kind for holding events, it is located in the General Güemes Gallery, a late art nouveau style building that has an interior pedestrian passage that connects Florida and San Martín streets. It was the first building in Buenos Aires built entirely of reinforced concrete and is also considered the first skyscraper in the city. It is made up of the Astor Piazzolla Theater and the Carlos Gardel Theater, and in both spaces the sophistication, elegance and pure Art Noveau style of the Belle Epoque stand out. Our Show: an unforgettable evening A theater inaugurated in 1915, pure operatic style of the Belle Epoque, carefully restored to its original state while maintaining perfect acoustics will make your visit an absolutely unforgettable evening. With a majestic display, live musicians, excellent dancers, the artistic quality of the singers and the most exquisite dishes.

We are foreign dancers living in Buenos Aires for more than eight years with more than 7,000 people from all over the world who lived our experience. Instead of booking a way too expensive commercial show, in this tour you'll get to know the real Tango underground world of Buenos Aires! After an (optional) Tango class you will get to know an authentic "Milonga" (=a place where locals dance Tango). We will be "off the beaten track" and I will tell you everything about how to dance Tango, the social codes in the Milongas and how Tango has changed over time (nowadays there is even Queer Tango, electro Tango etc). Your guide is Valerie, an expat from Europe who is an internationally known Tango teacher and Milonga organiser. In the BA Tango scene everybody knows her and she loves to build bridges between travelers and her local Milonguero friends. She is very passionate about Tango and happy to answer all your questions!

Buenos Aires and Tango are synonymous; visitors can easily find a Tango tour that you won’t find outside of Argentina. We want to take you one step further to where the Porteño goes – to the Milongas. At the Milongas, your experience will include a lesson and an introduction to the codes, traditions, etc. of Tango before you have the opportunity to learn the dance and enjoy the real Tango together with the locals.

With us, you will feel like a local tango. We do not want you to live the tourist tango, but you can enjoy a real milonga night. You will be accompanied by two tango dancers who have been dancing in milongas for 20 years. You will know the codes, movements and the history of tango. The activity is semi private, we handle small groups so they feel accompanied and can learn and ask everything they want!

We have been dancing and teaching full time proffesionaly since 2004.

Tango is a global language. The basic idea of tango that conquered the world is that you can dance everywhere in the world with anyone. Chania is the best place to have this artistic adventure. No matter your level, you can start with the “right” foot, or you can go deeper in your skill set. We have a special outdoor dancing floor as seen in photos, under the trees, in the perimeter of ManolisHouse.
