Discover the Flavors of Africa in the mother city. Cape Town is known for its rich cultural diversity, and this is beautifully reflected in its food scene. To truly experience the essence of the Mother City, you must taste the flavors of the African continent. In this experience, we’ll embark on a culinary journey across Africa—no visa needed! We’ll visit three African restaurants, sampling four dishes from Southern, Eastern, and Western Africa. Each stop will feature a unique dishes, and every bite will be accompanied by the stories and traditions that make these meals special. We’ll spend about 30 to 45 minutes at each restaurant, and the experience is fully customizable to accommodate your dietary preferences. Dishes we will be exploring: – South African – Ghanian or Nigeria – Tanzanian – Ethiopian NB) The tour is Vegetarian-friendly.

Experience this guided half-day cultural tour, starts in District Six with an introduction to the townships and the damage of apartheid policies, visit several of the townships starting with Langa, the oldest and smallest township where you will see various cultural and historical sites. Visit a local pre-school where you will spend time with local children who are full of energy and fun, you will also visit with a traditional healer and go on a walking tour to a shebeen (local pub) and maybe taste local beer. Enjoy the small group tour on an air-conditioned transport, which remains personal and intimate, there are plenty of opportunities to ask questions and engage with local members of the communities. Choose from one of 2 departure times when you book, if you choose the Robben Island tour extension, your guide will drop you off at Nelson Mandela Gateway at the V and A Waterfront where your trip to Robben Island departs.

Our Taste Of Africa is offered in 2 of the most Afro-cosmopolitan areas in Joburg rich in African cuisine. Yeoville (3pm)-one of the most diverse suburbs in South Africa, known for being highly Afro-cosmopolitan with many African nationals found in one square mile and a rich history due to the migration into South Africa. Maboneng-(12pm & 5pm ) a new suburb in Johannesburg which is home to Art, Culture,graffiti and a variety of African foods Both these areas offer great experiences when it comes to african cuisine.Our Taste of Africa experience will give you a taste of the continent with no visa requirements or expensive flights. The experience will offer guests the ability to try a variety of different African foods from – South African meals – Ghanaian – Nigerian – Cameroonian – Zimbabwean – Congolese Each food tasting will include at least 4 dishes we will be trying on the day. You can also include African beer tasting with your booking to enjoy the beers on the continent.

We only showcase boutique wines and not mass-produced commercial wines, so they will get the chance to taste the best wines South Africa has to offer. You will be given the opportunity to experience and learn about the best wines South Africa has to offer and understand more about the history of wine making in South Africa, all in the hustle and bustle of Johannesburg!

Let's meet at 8: 30 am at "Plaza de la Aduana"to will take you to discover our african roots. This place was a slave' s market where africans. From here we take private transportation to go to "San Basilio de Palenque". On this trip we explain slave's route and strategies to escape from Spanish and found this town in 1603 and reach their freedom in 1713. At the moment we get there, our native guide will take us around the town and teach us it´s history, traditions and beliefs. . This town still keep the African spirit and it's easy to feel it since we get there. We visit the main square where Benkos Biohó is honored as the founder . We understand the importance of the legacy that Africans left in our culture. With a drum performance we witness their passion for music and dancing. . We have a local rum and sweet tasting . At the end of this experience you will be able to understand our roots and the influence of Africans in our culture. We are back in downtown at 1:00 pm.
