You will visit Japan's National Treasure, Toshogu Shrine. According to many, this is the most gorgeous shrine of Japan, with its gold leaf decortions, its carvings of animal figures and the tomb of Tokugawa Ieyasu, the most famous shogun in Japanese history. The Kegon waterfall will take your breath away with its 100 meters in height! It is the only way out for Lake Chuzenji's water. The lake, at the foot of Mt. Nantai, is the most iconic landscape of this region, with a temple and some former embassies by its shore.

The samurai and ninja museum brings back the history and helps you to have a glimpse of these heroes’ glorious lives. Dedication, History and umpararelled expertise Our clan is the only remaining ninja clan whose ancestors served the Tokugawa Shogunate for 265 years. In 1868 they became independent so they could continue to keep their identity as shinobi. All of our ninja weapons have been handcrafted in the clan. Our ancestors were, shinobi samurai. They were of samurai lineage, and they trained local people to work as shinobinomono. Our ancestors escorted Tokugawa Ieyasu in 1582, and that's when our clan history really started. In this hands-on ninja and samurai experience, the basic principles of the Ninshido (shinobi samurai philosophy) are introduced in a practical, dynamic and mindful way. If you want to know the clan's mindsets, history and tradition, you need a reliable experienced instructor (6th Dan or higher black belt) and a licensed interpreter/trainer with specialized knowledge. .

Our Washi Studio connects its history and produces Japanese paper the old-fashioned way.The origin of this paper is not certain, but one theory is that it has been made since the Heian period (794–1185) and has a history spanning approximately 1,000 years. In the Edo period (1603–1867),Tokugawa Ieyasu, the first shogun of this period, used this paper as the official paper of the Tokugawa shogunate. Production of this paper was once discontinued due to the Western paper technology, but it was revived by local volunteers. We cultivate raw materials for the paper while utilizing fallow rice fields. And we consequently use the raw materials to manufacture the paper, developing and selling the products throughout the process.We also actively promote Japanese paper culture by offering hands-on paper-making experiences and studio tours.
