Departure from the hotel at 9:00 am towards the parish of Camacha to observe the wicker factory and all its process. Afterwards, climb to Pico do Areeiro at 1818m, where you can observe the beautiful mountains and surrounding valleys and even the parish of Curral das nuntas, deep in one of the great valleys. Descent to Ribeiro Frio, where there is a nursery of trout that later are dropped in the brook. A visit to the center of Santana is followed to observe the typical triangular houses with thatched roof, followed by another stop in Faial. Returning to Funchal, you will have two more stops, at the belvedere of Ponta de São Lourenço and Machico. Return to the hotel by 5:00 p.m.

From 2.45pm we will begin boarding on board the Don Joan catamaran. At 15.00 we will leave the dock and sail north (to Sa Mesquida) or south (to Binibeca), depending on the wind. We will enjoy its cliff landscape until we reach the beach where we will stop for a swim and snorkel in its crystal clear waters. We will have 75 minutes of free time where we can dive, snorkel or just relax in the sun. We'll swim straight from the boat. We will return to Mahon Harbour at about 18.00.

The journey will explore the East Bali. We will take you to visit Taman Ujung Garden, it’s as Taman Soekasada Ujung by the Balinese, this was once a private retreat of I Gusti Bagus Jelantik. Then we will take you to visit White Sandy Beach, the beach is the one of the nicest beaches in Bali, the beach is clear white. Being on the water on a canoe is a great relaxing experience and a great way to explore the hidden gems of Amsterdam East. The areas we will paddle are quite on the water, especially in the morning. We'll take it easy, young and old will be able to keep it up. There is a speed trap somewhere along the waterway, I'll challenge the restless among you to have a go! There's no need to fear to get a wet suit, but of course you cannot prevent some splashing drops your fancy shoes. Don't wear your best shoes & pants, don't bring laptops and other things that don't particularly like water. There will be dry bags to put some things, but better safe then sorry. The ending point is a small swim spot for locals, feel free to hang out after our tour!
