Your 2-hour tour to the emblematic monuments of this part of the town will be guided by a former university student or a European volunteer (European Voluntary Service – part of the European Union's Erasmus+ programme) integrated in this project, developed at the University of Madeira. This will be a university project with a side that will most certainly fascinate you.

This combination lasts 48 hours or 5 days (depending on option selected), allowing you to go through 3 turist circuits with one ticket: Funchal Tour, Câmara de Lobos Tour and Cabo Girão Tour. Aboard the Yellow Bus, cross the main points of interest of the city of Funchal, such as the Town Hall Square, the College Church or the Cathedral . Enjoy the beauty of the panoramic views, with an emphasis on the Skywalk lookout point at Cabo Girão. On the way, you can visit the fishing village of Câmara de Lobos, which is full of charm and stories to tell. Make the most of it… and don’t forget your camera! – Access to Cabo Girão not included

You’ll ascend to the island’s third-highest mountain, Pico de Arieiro, which affords stunning island views. The next stop is Ribeiro Frio, the starting point of a famous levada (irrigation channel) walk, where you’ll marvel at trout pools and learn about the prehistoric forest that covers Madeira. Following lunch in the colorful town of Santana, you’ll visit more incredible lookout points such as Ponta de São Lourenço, and stop off at Machico before drop-off at your Funchal accommodation.

For unsurpassed ocean and island views take a tour of the North! Leaving Funchal, Madeira’s capital, we follow the way to São Vicente village, set in a most beautiful valley. We will continue our drive to Ponta Delgada, a picturesque village where the natural surroundings can be admired at their best. There will be a stop for the lunch break at São Jorge / Cabanas de São Jorge, a unique village overlooking the sea and surrounded by mountains and vineyards that shows off some of Madeira’s most spectacular scenery. The return journey takes you through stunning valleys, passing the beautiful village of Faial and Porto da Cruz where you will have the possibility of visiting the “Northern Milling Company” for its sugar cane rum production, which is not always in time of the harvest or fermentation but still you can see all the procedure and history of one of the most important mills of the island. We end our tour with a stop at a spectacular viewpoint overlooking the city of Machico.

On this tour, we will take you through Peaceful and beautiful villages by the sea will take you on a wonderful journey. The villages of Ponta do Sol, Madalena do Mar and Paúl do Mar are very well known for its large production of sugar cane, banana. We then continue our trip to Ponta do Pargo, you are able to admire one of the most emblematic lighthouse situated further west of island. Ponta do Pargo is also where we will have our lunch break stop, various snack bars, restaurants or coffee shops will be given as choice for lunch. In Calheta village you will find one of the two man-made golden sandy beaches that Madeira has to offer. You will have the opportunity to visit the Engenho da Calheta (Sugar cane factory) were you can admire how the sugar cane rum is made and have the opportunity to walk around the distillery.
