The vessel always remains above sea level and accommodates up to 34 passengers comfortably in its hull, which sits 5 feet below the surface. Being able to snorkel in the Silfra fissure is a privilege that mother nature literally opened up for us. Silfra is a big 'crack' in the ground located in Thingvellir on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge formed as two tectonic plates move apart from each other. The benefits of choosing the wetsuit option is you can dive down and have the most unique perspective, seeing above and below the water. This choice is popular for scuba divers who do not have the required certifications for the scuba dive. If you're not a confident swimmer then the drysuit can be a better option. Prior experience snorkeling/ diving will help you greatly to dive down but is not necessary. You can book the drysuit option on another listing for you or other people in your group for the same time tour. We always have small groups, 6 people per guide. This allows for a more closer and personal feel. If you have a group of 7 or more you can be together preparing your equipment but in the water some of you will be separate.

This boat experience will help you immerse yourself in the local culture, the Diani community and their unique hospitality. The warmth of the local people as they guide you through the waters, explain to you about the fishing, and then to the sand bank. The glass boat offers you a nice view of the Diani marine life. Our experienced captain/ Boat operator putting up a show. The captain will throw a piece of bread or food into the sea and then dive beneath the glass-bottomed boat and attract special fish species that are not allowed to be fished courtesy of a local agreement by all fishermen and boat operators. Then the fish will be attracted to the glass boat creating a spectacular show. The boat has an upper compartment that visitors can safely climb and have very spectacular views and photos. Once the boat has docked at the sand bank, the guests will party for 45 minutes or lazily bank in the sand.

You have the option to travel on your own scooter, or share as two people can be comfortably seated in a large, dry, and panoramic dome.
