With first class seating, you will enjoy unobstructed views of Arizona’s geological wonders, wildlife, and archaeological finds of the ancient Sinagua people who once lived in the area. The Verde Canyon Railroad offers Starlight and Moonlight excursions on select Fridays and Saturdays May through September, departing the depot during the cooler temperatures of later afternoon and traveling through sunset and into the moon glow of twilight. Sandwiched between two protected national forests and adjacent to the Sycamore Canyon Wilderness, Verde Canyon Railroad brings its passengers into a untamed and unspoiled terrain, the exceedingly rare ribbon where high desert meets the river.

You and you party will be picked up by a UTV Side by side. With a fun off roading ride that takes you to our launch spot. With beautiful views and lots of small rapid runs the excitement and adventure are around every bend. Have kids ? Like to swim? There are several water holes that are great for swimming and cooling off. After we are done we will provide transportation back to your vehical.

The Verde Valley Archaeology Center is the only nonprofit museum that encompasses the family life of the Sinagua people, the history of the Yavapai-Apache Nation, and specialized rotating exhibits.

Verde Canyon Railroad's Grape Train Escape is an evening event, featuring onboard wine-tasting showcasing distinct vineyards from Arizona and beyond. While aboard the “Grape Train Escape,” passengers will be served a sampling of select wines. Guests also will enjoy specialty cheeses and hors d’oeuvres chosen to complement the featured wines. Viogniers from each winery will be onboard to discuss the terroir and the techniques of wine-making. This event is for passengers age 21 and up. Proof of age may be requested.

The Veado Verde / Green Deer invites you to live an experience in ancient Roman lands. Learn about Roman habits and traditions so deeply rooted in and around the ruins of Conimbriga. The ruins of the quasi-imperial Conimbriga with its fountains House and its wonderful garden scenes, mythological passages, seasons, monsters, birds and sea animals. will be the starting point of a hike through the Mouros River valley. We will visit the waterfall where the romans bathed and will do much of the route on the banks of the same river. We will also pass by a small village at the base of Sicó Mountain. Beginning in the Queimadas Forestry Park, this walk is ‘out-and-back’, and crosses some spectacularly steep slopes, but is one of the finest ways of penetrating the deep valley of the São Jorge brook on foot; you’ll need a torch on this walk, which passes through a tunnel. The levada of Caldeirão Verde is an impressive work of art built in the 18th century that begins in the main stream bed of the Caldeirão Verde brook. Passing through steep cliffs and mountains, it carries the water that runs off the highest mountains of Madeira, to be used to irrigate the farm lands of the parish of Faial. After you pass through the 4 tunnels on the route, Caldeirão Verde appears on the left of the levada. The Caldeirão Verde lake is formed by water that falls from the bed of the Caldeirão Verde stream bed from a height of approximately 100m.

The Levada dos Maroços takes you on a fascinating journey of discovery of the cultures and traditions of Madeira. The beautiful landscapes of this route are mainly composed of agricultural land and crops carefully worked, complemented with views over the city of Machico.

This is a very popular ride along the wide, unsurfaced track of a disused railway line. We do the downhill version of this route, making it an easy ride, suitable for families and leisure cyclists. The route meanders through valleys, olive groves, forests and along flowing rivers. You will pass through 30 tunnels (the longest is nearly 1km in length) and over 4 viaducts. Ride past a vulture colony, high up on the cliffs, and pop into the visitor centre to watch the “vulture-cam”. This route is self-guided; we drive you to the start point at the old station building in Olvera (approx 45 minutes from Ronda) and the minibus meets you in Puerto Serrano to bring you back to Ronda.

We will visit the sacred valley of the Incas famous for its scenic beauty and archaeological centers. Pickup from your hotel will be between 7:30 – 8:00 am (wait at the reception of your hotel) we will visit the typical market of Pisac, then we will go to the archaeological center located on the top of the mountain, this archaeological center has huge agricultural terraces, water fountains, a religious center and an Inca cemetery. We will continue the journey along the valley, towards the archaeological center of Ollantaytambo known as the living Inca people as its constructions are inhabited by the inhabitants of the town, also has its impressive Temple of the Sun, its endless stairs, water fountains and temples. Our last visit will be the archaeological center of Chinchero, a fascinating place that houses temples, platforms and a rich textile tradition, you can know the art of weaving and dyeing alpaca wool, a skill transmitted by generations.
