Be open to tasting local wines, and exploring rural Crete this tour it's for you. We visit one family winery in the Heraklion area where we take a tour of the cellar of the winery, learn how different wines are made, and then taste up to 5 different indigenous varieties. We will visit a family-run olive mill, having an olive grove tour, olive mill tour, and olive oil tasting. Finally, we will drive to a small village and to an undisclosed location, not open to the public, and learn all about Raki Distillation. At the end of the tour, we will get on our 4WD SUV and head to the mountain top at 850 meters to observe the Cretan fields from the top and the beautiful colors created on Mother Earth.

The Old Town Breweries and Distilleries Tour visits our best local brewery, winery and distillery. Tour "back of house" where you'll learn how beer, wine and spirits are crafted. You'll also have the time to purchase and enjoy sample flights and drinks at each brewery/distillery/winery. The origin of our sparkling wines dates back to the end of the Spanish Civil War, when Ramon Nadal Giró recovered the vineyards that had been expropriated to build an airfield and decided to reorient the family wine distillery business towards the production of sparkling wine. As a result, in 1943 the first bottle of Nadal Brut sparkling wine was released. Since then, the family has been producing sparkling wines, and it has remained a family business ever since. Nadal is the "chateâux" of El Penedès region, as everything happens in the estate. A unique place surrounded by almost 100 hectars of vineyards.
