Channel the legendary artist and architect Antoni Gaudí during this fun, family-friendly mosiac workshop. Over the course of 2 hours, you will learn the mosiac technique "trencadis," which he invented and can be found all over Barcelona's main monuments. You can choose between glass or ceramic to create a unique masterpiece in Gaudís technique such as photo frame, top of a box, elefant and other decoration objects. Through this activity guests will learn the brief history of the Maltese traditional tile and will have the ability to create their own tile from scratch (including the base) which they can use either as a coaster or a decorative piece, or else giving it as a small gift to their relatives back home. The workshop is run by a professional Art teacher, and forms part of the activities run by a local non-profit organization catering for the culture and the arts.

Embark on a sensory tour through the different flavors of chocolate in Colombia! We will sample chocolates from 5 different regions with differing percentages of cocoa. We will learn all about the chocolate production process, as well as the different tropical fruits that the Colombian cocoa is paired with. Each person will choose their favorite cocoas that they sampled and then we will learn how to make our own chocolate truffle creations out of them! Afterwards everyone will get to take home their own handmade chocolates in a small gift box. Finally we will indulge in a pastry and hot chocolate treat to wrap up our tour. You will have a choice between a traditional almojábana, carimañola, pandebono, puff pastry, empanadas, mantecada, or an arepa made of: corn, anise, cheese, boyacense, or santandereana. I offer a family-hosted cultural workshop in Tokyo, teaching traditional Japanese crafts with my child. Choose from five hands-on activities: origami, calligraphy, washi dyeing, wagashi (Japanese sweets), and daruma painting. All are beginner-friendly and suitable for kids and adults. As a former elementary school teacher and experienced workshop leader, I’ve taught calligraphy and art in schools and family events. I love creating fun, creative spaces where kids and adults can learn through making. My goal is to offer more than a cultural activity—it’s a chance to connect through creativity. I welcome families who want to enjoy Japanese culture in a relaxed, friendly setting. My child joins the workshop, and children often enjoy the shared experience. Sessions are near Hiroo Station in central Tokyo. You can choose one activity or combine two for a personalized experience. I provide basic English support. I look forward to welcoming you and sharing this special time in Japan.
