Black Rock Trip Overview
Beginning at Bath Beach, this 6 km trail winds along the rugged Atlantic East Coast of Barbados. The trail, known as the Bath Trail, was once part of the route that the old train took that ran from Bridgetown to Belleplaine in the 1800s. Ending in Bathsheba, an East Coast fishing village, named after “Bathsheba” the wife of King David, the views are breathtakingly beautiful; wide white sand beaches stretch along a dramatic coastline of striking rock formations against which the Atlantic rollers break in cascades of foam. The terrain varies fairly significantly but is relatively flat and one that is more than memorable. Prefer some more elevation in your hike? Alternate trail routes can be selected to include challenging hills and even more distance if you like.
