The visit to Los Haitises National Park is fascinating. It is an unforgettable tour where we will contemplate like few others in the world. It is a paradisiacal place that transports us to the time of the dinosaurs, by the way, important scenes from the movie Jurassic Park were filmed in Los Haitises.

Cueva de la Arena can only be accessed by boat, the cave is located next to a beach of the same name in Los Haitises National Park.
The cave was inhabited by the Taino Indians before colonial times. It is decorated with pictograms, petroglyphs and bas-reliefs. Inside the cave there are several graffiti depicting birds. There are also drawings of ships that are said to be ships of the early settlers. The cave is about 1 kilometer deep. It is one of the places to visit when visiting the park.

It is called this way because an old railway line that was used to transport bananas and rice that passed in front of the entrance to the cave.
