What to Expect When Visiting La Fortuna de San Carlos, Province of Alajuela, Costa Rica
Hanging bridges Approximately 3 kilometers of easy trails will allow you to hike through the forest and over bridges (including 6 hanging bridges). As you wander through the beautiful Costa Rican forest with a magnificent view of Arenal Volcano, our highly trained bilingual guide will share with you about the flora surrounding you and possibly show you monkeys, sloths, snakes, spiders, lizards, toucans, and other birds.
Duration: 4 hours Departure: 8am and 1pm Includes: transportation, guide, entrance fee and cold water. Your guide will arrive at 8:00 am (for the morning tour) or 1:00 pm (for the afternoon tour) and transport you on the shuttle to Mystico (The Hanging Bridges Park) about 30 minutes drive from downtown La Fortuna. Upon arriving at Mystico, the guide will make the necessary arrangements for entering the park (Entrance fee is included) and off you will go. This 3 kilometer hike which crosses 6 hanging bridges and a few other bridges offers an opportunity to view and learn about of the rain forest and a great view of Arenal Volcano as well.
