Falmouth has only one major shopping day in the week on Wednesday’s called “Bend Down”. This is a historic name dating back to the early settlers, this is the town where the farmers and commercial vendors would take their produce and place it on the ground, signifying lower price, much the same like a flea market. This place with buzzing activity is an attraction for people all part of the island, they come into this small historic town with their items – anywhere from clothing, shoes, souvenirs – you name it, at very low/cheap/affordable prices.
