Stop At: Nassau Public Library & Museum, Shirley Street, Nassau New Providence Island
Initially used as a jail then almost 100 years later it was recommissioned and turned into a library and museum. The public service building also contains some pre-European artifacts which are exceedingly rare and, unfortunately, often ignored.

Stop At: Queen’s Staircase, Top of Elizabeth Avenue, off Shirley Street, Nassau New Providence Island
While beautiful, the impressive Queen’s Staircase has a tragic history. This 65-step walkway was chiselled out of solid limestone rock by over 600 slaves in the late 1700s. Find out why it was eventually dedicated to Queen Victoria.
