Have you ever thought how cool it would be to dive underwater on one breath and coming back with your dinner? This Spearfishing introduction course is for you! You will learn diving techniques, speargun use and safety, choosing, stalking and spearing fish, and all the secrets of the sport. Freedive Costa Rica will provide you with the best foundation to get into the sport of Spearfishing. Welcome to the wonderful world of the ocean below!

You can appreciate the ocean from above and below, with time to snorkel in a remote beautiful beach away from large tour groups. Alternatively, take the opportunity to paddle board or swim, do some snorkeling, enjoy the ocean with our pool noodles, just before cruising back to land while the sun sets. We will head up north towards Playa Minas, which is a beach that does not receive many tourists, despite its incredible beauty. It is a white sand beach with gentle waves and few rocks. It is surrounded by huge mountains. It is also known as a nesting place for black turtles. While we are anchored you can enjoy our Stand Up Paddle, do some snorkeling or just enjoy being in the water, relaxing on one of our pool noodles. Afterwards, we will call you back to the boat to serve our meal which is Rice with Vegetables, Flavored Ground Beans, Chicken Fajitas, Salad, Sauteed Vegetables, Season Fruits and Dessert. Of course, you will also enjoy our open bar during the whole trip.

During the first day, you will watch some diving videos and practice basic diving skills in the pool with your instructor. On the second day, you will discover the wonderful underwater fauna of Costa Rica in 2 open water dives while applying everything learned in the first day. And, on the last day, you will do the last 2 dives and take the final exam, thus consolidating everything seen before.

If you already have your Open Water scuba diving certification take your skills to the next level and attain Advanced Open Water dive certification by completing five specific dives over three days of beautiful diving in the Catalina Islands of Costa Rica. Instructor, snacks, and all necessary equipment included.

The Open Water Diver (OWD) is the most famous certification, recognized all over the world. A certified open water diver can go diving 18 meters deep. (60 feet) with a buddy of the same level.

WATERFALL SWIMMING: The trail to get to this natural pool is short , 15 minutes one way walk. In the place there’s always recommending bring an extra towel to dry after swim as well put your swim suit underneath. Bring towels, extra clothes, bugs spray, tennis shoes or strap sandals, sun block and cash money for extras. IMPORTANT NOTE: The hike are really easy for all ages. Kids from 4 years old can do it or senior people 20 minutes hike or 1 mile circule trail. NATURAL HOT SPRINGS & VOLCANIC MUD Indulge in a mineral rich volcanic mud bath or wade in the hot springs until your worries are nothing but a memory. You will be able to soak tour skin in a thermal springs. Hot springs pools temperatures between 98° Farinheit (36°C) and 104°Farinheit. (38°C) Tour duration: 1 hour Typical lunch buffet are include(fresh fruits, vegetables, rice, beans, plantains, meats, coffee, desert, juice)

You will be performing various skills on 5 different dives. Each dive is themed toward the advanced course. Out of the 5 dives you can chose the theme for 3 dives (we will give you a set of options and recommendations). Deep- and navigation dives are mandatory. After you complete all dives and the performance requirements you get certified as a SSI Adventure diver / PADI Advanced Open Water Diver.

The Open Water Diver certification is the 1st complete SSI certification you can earn and the most chosen course for beginners in Costa Rica and worldwide. This license is the most recognized in the dive industry and will allow you to dive anywhere in the world, independent of professional supervision, to a maximum depth of 18 metres/60 feet. This license is your passport to adventure and the key to open the door of the wonderful underwater world.

We will be heading for the slopes of the most active volcano in Costa Rica. Rincón de la Vieja which is 1 hour and 45 minutes from your resort. The scenic route will take us to the adventure center were you will have locker, bathroom, changing rooms while our staff will communicate safety tips before you take on the 9 cable zip line, plus 10 platforms. But if you feel more like hiking and appreciate wildlife at the foot of the volcano, we recommend our 8 hanging bridges with different lengths. The next activity is perfect for freshening up: a quarter of a mile water slide above the forest. You will indulge on buffet lunch to regain your energy and continue on your adventure of horseback riding in a middle of the forest with great landscapes. We will take a short walk and an exotic waterfall awaits you to reach the Eco Spa where you can open your skin pores in the natural sauna, exfoliate with volcanic mud and enjoy 5 pools the natural hot spring water for some well earned relaxation.

You will be performing various skills all about safety and helping other divers. After you complete all performance requirements you get certified as a PADI Rescue Diver.
