Itinerary
Day 1: Leaving San José to Pacuare// 3 Hours
Stop At: Barra de Pacuare, Barra de Pacuare, Province of Limon
Between 06:00 a.m. and 06:30 a.m. Aprox. We will pick you up early in the morning at your Hotel in San Jose.
11:00: Departure of the boat, slow cruise with guide
11:45 Arrival at the lodge. Check in, free time to rest and lunch.
12:30 Lunch at our restaurant right on the water of Laguna Madre de Dios.
2:30 Departure to the town of Barra de Pacuare, located on the strip of land between the lagoon and the Caribbean Sea. In this visit, you will discover the cozy lifestyle of a typical coastal Caribbean town. We will also visit the Quelonios Sea Turtle project located on the ocean.
4:00 Subsequently, the boat will again cross the river mouth of the Rio Pacuare heading to the wetlands of Boca de Pacuare, an ecosystem of high importance for endangered species, home to numerous birds, amphibians, mammals and reptiles such as caimans, river turtles and many more species. Around 5 pm we will return to the lodge
6:30 Dinner, leisure and lodging. Time to relax and talk about the day’s experiences at the restaurant / bar Lodge, next to the lagoon of Laguna Madre de Dios.

Day 2: Pacuare Reserve // San José 3 Hours
Stop At: Pacuare Reserve, Pacuare Reserve, Province of Cartago
DAY 2:
7:00 Breakfast
8:00 Departure by boat to explore, with our guide, the secluded and wild Pacuare Reserve, an area of vast tropical forests, situated in a strip of land between the Laguna Madre de Dios and the Caribbean Sea. During this tour of about 2:30 hours, you can discover what a tropical primary rainforest is about, with rivers and wetland ecosystems. This gem is home to numerous species of flora and fauna and in almost every outing we can spot the three species of monkeys, mostly snakes, oropendolas, also sometimes sloths, toucans, parrots, hummingbirds.
10:30 Departure to the dock Goshen
1:00 p.m Enjoy a delicious lunch in route.
3:00 p.m aprox time Arrival in San José late afternoon.
