Difficulty level: HIGH

We meet at 6:00am at the meet up point, and take a two-hour road trip to get to Los Cacaos town. There, we are having a delicious typical dominican breakfast, in a countryside house

Then we start the journey. First, we hike uphill for about 45 minutes. Then downhill for about 15, and get to El Tabernaculo waterfall, in the upside part.
We prepare the equipment for rappelling and descending. This is very thrilling, and once you’re here there’s no way back, you’re doing it. It is way easier than it looks, though. You don’t have to be an athlete to handle it, just follow the instructions.
