Both La Casona or similar (economy option) and La Baula Lodge (standard option) are located only five minutes from the Tortuguero National Park. They are focused on the respect, protection and conservation of the environment and of the flora and fauna of the area. Both feature rooms with private bath, hot water and fans. They have authentic Caribbean style, painted with bright colors that identify the culture of the area and lush gardens.
Prices based on double occupancy. Economy option has a supplemental charge of $15 for single travelers.

Itinerary
Day 1: Day 1: Drive to Caño Blanco embarking area where we will access the main canal to go north into the National Park.
Pass By: Tortuguero, Tortuguero, Province of Limon
Morning:
Early a.m. pickup at your hotel in San Jose, Arenal or Puerto Viejo. Breakfast at our Exploration Center. Transport to Tortuguero.
Afternoon:
Check-in
Tortuguero Village tour.
Evening:
Seasonal turtle nesting tour or night hike tour (optional).

Accommodation included: Basic Lodging accommodations in the Area of Tortuguero Canals. La Casona & La Baula Lodge.
Day 2: Day 2: Canoe trip into the jungle where you will explore the lagoons and hidden canals of the National Park.
Stop At: Tortuguero, Tortuguero, Province of Limon
Morning:
Naturalist Canoe Tour at 5:30 am. Breakfast, leisure time and check-out. Shuttle out leaves at 12 noon from Costa Rica Roots Tours Office.
Afternoon:
12:00 pm boat ride and drive to Exploration Center and on to San José, Arenal or Puerto Viejo.
